When you reward non productive at expense of productive--you create an adverse environment.

This seems to be the mantra of the conservative, when everything is peeled back. Claiming that those who do not make a lot of money, are unproductive, and those that do make a lot of money are productive. There are plenty of things to discuss on this issue, but not really what I want to ask. My question is...can you give some examples of higher income earners - the real high earners that pay the highest tax rate - and how they have been hindered by that? I know you know of the countless articles talking about these very people holding and increasing their wealth over the past few years, during these tax times. I submit to you, that the tax environment that they live in allows them to make more and more money, which should be the real issue. They have the ability to make more money BECAUSE of what taxes pay for, and the system they work in.

How can anyone say with a straight face that the current tax system is a hindrance to those at high income levels? If it were a real hindrance, then people would not be making an increasing percentage of pie, would they?

I also find it an interesting play on words that any discussion of a repeal of tax cuts means that democrats are trying to raise taxes. There are two ways to look at that, as you know.

And again...sticking to tax cuts at a time when our country is at war, oue debt level is at never before seen levels, is unheard of in our history. Further proof, at least in my mind, what this administration is all about.

Don't care how you cut it--taxes are not economy friendly--and especially when its on businesses that create jobs.

Then can you explain to me that when clinton raised taxes on the rich we had one of the biggest economic booms in our lifetime? Let me help you once again with something dog. You give a middle class person a 5 thousand dollar tax break he is gonna spend it. When you spend you need people to fill jobs to handle the spending. Most time if you give someone a 5 thou tax increase they will spend more than the five grand. More jobs created. Now you give a rich guy who doesn't need to spend more money do you think they run right out to create jobs? Yes, a handful might but most do not. D Trump was on Larry King back in the 90's. He said "i didn't vote for Bill Clinton but i have to admit i have made the most money in my life under Bill Clinton". On another note why do you think like a billionaire, act like a billionaire, vote like a billionaire, but are middle class? Is it most likely a race issue with you?

Good post Chad. Please hang in there while DTB prepares his retort....it has nothing to do with your last post, so don't be surprised if you are soon discussing Pelosi or Clinton in this very thread.

i always get a kick out of the simpletons on the Right when they get their little pink panties in a bundle over what someone may or may not pay in income tax.
If it pains you that much to pay more tax than someone earning 15K a year, DTB, you could always stop making money, although I highly doubt you make more than 15K a year anyway...:mj07:

This might call for a Marc Rich pardon reference to get away from this thing. Not sure.

I'm not saying anything about current tax system--I'm talking about about what the dems are claiming ie the rich got the tax breaks and no one else.

you must have missed this thread--

To keep things in order --lets clear up one question 1st then we'll continue--

Does anyone dispute the bulk of those that pay no taxes vote democratic?

Reds On the stop making money issue---do you think I would be foolish enough not to have a plan in place. You can bet your ass with a wife that is Chinese I can get down to whatever income necessary in short order and bilk the dems anticipated programs for all its worth--and if you think I'm the only one out there--think again.

You might find it hard to believe--but it is the younger ones here that are my concern--not myself

from my perspective--double digit unemployment won't effect me one iota--and the higher the interest rates the better.

fine - it has nothing to do with anything - but if answering yes will help you get to the task of answering questions - then YES. Destitute people tend to vote democrat....I guess:shrug: .

So - What's your idea to lower that 32.4 you bring up hundreds of times? You want to bring all full-time workers up to a taxable income?

I swear, I'll do almost anything to hear more. I want to hear 1) about the plan and 2) about how you will take advantage of being married to a Chinese woman. Please expand upon the "You can bet your ass with a wife that is Chinese I can get down to whatever income necessary in short order.." For the life of me, I can't figure out what the hell you are talking about, but I have to know more about it.

The Chinese connection has many angles I go into one concerning property.

In china you pay property tax one time (at time of sale) not hammered every year thereafter--however taxes are much higher and quite diff on Americans purchasing property there. If you want to avoid property tax here as well as rental income--can you see any advantage to sell all property here and take proceeds and buy property there?

Have friend from China that is college professor here that has taken test and is American citizen--however wife is not due to advantages of retaining her Chinese National status which she would lose once she becomes U.S. citizen.

--- there are lots of ways to skin a cat--my planning actually has little to do with what I anticipate from the Dems but more so how how to continue work at age 62 (5 years from now) because I enjoy what I do--and still qualify for SNN benefits--however if they (Dems)make things to unfriendly for small businesses--I can wrap things up in 18 months.

I get a little of what you are saying there, DTB. As a self-employed person, I get so many tax advantages that clock-punchers don't. I don't think its too fair, but those are the rules and I spend more time than I'd like to make sure I take full advantage of those said rules. What I make and what I pay tax on are so far apart you'd better have a full tank of gas to get from one figure to the other...:mj07:

You never answered my question about how you would solve the 32.4, even though I answered your question. Figures.

As well as the 32.4, will you please give a specific example of how Dems have or will make things so difficult for small businesses that you would close shop and move to China?

Only way I can see to stop 32.4 is cut off illegals which no party is going to do--at risk of political suicide--maybe if they both could come together on issue and share the heat from hispanic population--

The welfare issue is sticky--I'd like to see us give them one mistake--one illegitamate child and they foot the rest--however don't think that would stop many and would end up punishing the children and not the producer--and wouldn't want that.

!st thing would be mark out --Send us your poor---- on statue of liberty.

On Dems on small business--don't think it would ever come to effect small potatoe like me--would be revolt by the big boys long before--

--but anytime you mandate wages --dictate who you can hire--and raise taxes on a business--it adversely effects the business-- You can't tie the hands of those that create the jobs without having negative effect of employment and economy in general.

Another killer on corps is litigation--90% of discrimination come from 2 entities--and while some are justified--most are looking for the Jack pot justice.

If china-india--and others had our productivity they would rule the world--as their cost for future litigation is nil compared to U.S.

on China--will probably live there when I hit 62--for 4 or 5 months a year anyway. Just too many advantages financially--taxes and cost of living--and many areas are gorgeous--they have little island in south china sea called Hainan --
http://www.regenttour.com/chinaplanner/hainan/

--with weather identicle to Hawaii--the worst thing about china is communicating with people-however a lot has changed in last 10years and English is now required in school.

You can live in nicest house/condo--have your own privite cab sitting at your door for daily use--buy anything you want and would find it almost impossible to spend $750 a month.
Insurance-taxes-healthcare cost-liabilty-- are basically non issues--if you have Chinese spouse.

When I go -you come visit--you'd have big time.
The women love americans--you could have your own harem--now spongy--I might have to to go to country side and take some chickens along for trade:142smilie
