OK, finally after last race, my book put up a TON of matchups. I can tell you that this week is gonna be another profitable week. We have had very good weeks the first 2 races, and this one looks even better. Vegas still hasnt caught on to the fact that Ford sucks! Anyways, I have a list of drivers that I feel have a legitimate shot at winning this thing. As many of you know, odds vary a lot when it somes down to looking at different books. The drivers that I like, will not be listed over 15-1 odds, so play at your own risk when betting to win. Again, MATCHUPS will be where the money is at.
For those that like to play the odds to win here are your bets with the most value....
Ward Burton at 12-1 (Ton of value--I think he is your race winner)
Sterling Marlin (8-1 is not bad, but his odds are falling)
Jerry Nadeau is at 15-1 and has a lot of value
Other than that, drivers have a chance to win, but do not have as much value with the odds are in order of preference...
M Waltrip, Tony Stewart, B LaBonte, Johnny Benson, and Jeff Gordon.
OK, here is where you will want to pay attention to win the real money...
Keep in consideration that drivers such as jeff Burton and Mark Martin are going to be WAY overvalued, due to their dominance in the past on this track. Well, EAT THIS UP, cuz they aint gonna do it this year. Jack Roush cars and Ford for that matter have had rules changed against them aerodynamically, and this has been a factor in both races so far, and the design of Las Vegas will prevent Ford from doing any damage this year. Just take a look at qualifying times, and happy Hour times and you will see Ford struggle. So without further due, here are 8 matchups that I feel will win us some serious units, and unlike last week, we can actually take some doggies...
Casey Atwood -115 over Kurt Busch -115
10 units---This thing is the best bet I have seen in a long time. Atwood had the best happy hour time today, and until Busch proves that he can finish a race, I will take this to the bank every time.
Bobby LaBonte +105 over J Burton -135
5 units--Pontiac beats Ford, Nuff said. I will take the doggie with the better car make, and arguably the better driver anyday.
Steve Park +115 over mark Martin -145
5 units---Martin is washed up, and is driving a very mediocre car. This is a perfect example of a up and comer that is undervalued, and a washed up "great" that is overvalued. Take the value.
Ward Burton -130 over Ricky Rudd EVEN
5 units---Rudd has ran well so far this year, and has a chance to beat Ward is he runs a perfect race, but you cant beat someone if they finish first...
Jeff Gordon +125 over Jeff Burton -155
5 units---Gordon has had a top 3 car, engine wise the first 2 races. He will catch a break one of these days, and at +125 odds over a Jack Roush car, I will take the value.
B LaBonte -120 over Dale jarrett -110
5 units---Jarrett had a decent run last week, but it just seems that he isnt the same driver that won the Championship a couple years ago. Bobby has the better car for this race, and will beat Dale to the line.
Dale JR +115 over mark Martin -145
5 units---JR has a Top 10-15 car. I think he needed the time off to get his mind back into racing. He should be ready to go this week, and he will use his more powerful engine to easily pass Martin and not look back.
Ward Burton -130 over Jeremy Mayfield EVEN
5 units---This is a no brainer. Ward has a really great car, and Mayfield will be trying to keep from getting lapped all day long, as all Fords can do these days is try and keep up until rule changes are made.
That is it!! Im goin to bed, GOOD LUCK tomorrow!
