One thing I find funny is that Francona actually let Wakefield bat for himself in the 7th, despite the fact that his team trails by one and Wake has pitched poorly, as usual. There are few worse managers in the game than Francona, if you ask me.
I think Francona was saving his pen leaving Wake in. His pitch count was low...why not. He's given up a lot of hits, but only down 1 run. I know the Sox pen has been used a lot lately. I don't think Francona is among the worse managers in the league. No way IMO.
