I don't usually do GOY or GOM or AFC GOY or anything like that, but I feel very strongly about a play today.

ML Seattle +425
Sea +10.5

NO lack of RBs coupled with no road playoff wins in its history, frigid conditions, and Seattle being discounted for their 7-9 record ( rightfully so).

And this game is being played in the loudest outdoor stadium in the league.

Defending SB champs haven't won a playoff game the following year since 2005.

The other thing, Seattle doesn't lose close games. They lost 9 times this year, and all by 15+. Which Seattle team shows up?

Brees has turned it over in 12 straight games, so if that streak continues, you know the 'Hawks have a puncher's chance.

Stranger things have happened........

You have a shot here. Just what has N.O. done this season to warrant being a double digit road chalk in a hostile playoff environment ? Nothing.

NO defense is actually statistically better than last year's championship team, except in the takeaway dept. So everything on paper indicates that Saints should win. This is a crazy hunch, and I am taking a shot at ML simply because they Seachickens get blown out when they lose, so it's basically all or nothing here.

Just want to point out that history is on your side here:

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/30713/precedent-says-seahawks-have-decent-shot

But I have to say that there is little to value on the ML at that number. For a +11/10.5 dog, shouldn't the Seahawks be much closer to +500?

That said I do like your Seattle pick. BOL to ya :toast:

Nice, thanks.

Also , from the article you linked:

"Since 1990, when the NFL expanded the playoffs from 10 teams to 12 to include an extra wild-card team, the six teams that made the playoffs with a point differential of minus-20 or worse all won their opening-round playoff games."

Yes. And the value is no concern. If they don't win SU, I lose the same amount no matter, and if they win, I'll spend the 4.25:1 winnings recklessly and enjoy the hell out of it.

I was hoping to win the turnover battle. Tied at 1-1 now. Hopefully Chickens don't come unglued or turn it over.
30 minutes to go
