So Cal
I feel Bush is gone......theres no chance he comes back barring injury or mental illness.

This schedule.....with Arkansas, Nebraska and ND as the non-conference games will be tough with an inexperienced QB and running backs.

But if the last few years have taught us anything.....don't underestimate Pete Carroll.

2006 USC Football Schedule

Sept. 9 At Arkansas
Sept.16 Nebraska
Sept. 23 At Arizona
Sept. 30 At Washington State
Oct. 7 Washington Univ.
Oct. 14 Arizona State
Oct. 28 At Oregon State
Nov. 4 At Stanford
Nov. 11 Oregon
Nov. 18 California Bears
Nov. 25 Notre Dame
Dec. 2 At UCLA Bruins

The biggest losses are the 3 guys from the OL. USC is inexperienced at OL, QB, and RB. Defense will be awesome. What people don't realize USC WR's corps will be lengendary. USC has 2 5-star QB prospects battling it out and both are the real deal. (can't go wrong with either)

IMO, USC will be very vulnerable to lose in the 1st half of the season. Playing 3 of your first 4 games on the road is BRUTAL!

If USC starts the season 6-0, USC will win the BCS National Championship. USC will have the same success/team as they did in year 1 of Matt Leinart. (except with MORE talent) Vulnerable in 1h season and a machine in the 2h.

You can't be serious. Losing your entire offensive backfield is without question USC's biggest loss.

In that case I suppose that we will be subjected to months of discussion about your pending futures bets again next season. I for one, can hardly wait.

Nope. Games are won and lost in the trenches. USC will be fine at QB. What will be interesting is USC now adds some mobility to the QB position. :scared Both QB's are more physically talented than Leinart and both are capable of buying time rolling out of the pocket. What does that mean? USC legendary WR corps gets more time to get open. :scared Leinart couldn't roll out and buy time. A new dimension will be added to the USC offense. :) But USC loses the Bush dimension. :(

USC has nobody as talented as Bush/White but USC has bunch of players that will get the job done. People forget Hershall Dennis. He was USC starting RB 2003 NC team. Sat out last year with knee injury and is now 100% healthy. Remember, RB is the easiest postion for players to step up and play right away. So USC's outstanding RB recruiting class can play big role. (USC will land 3 of the nations top 10 RB's) Unless S. Johnson changes his silent verbal.

USC has talent at OL but losing 3 starters hurts (2 to early entry NFL). Experience is major criteria for a dominating OL. Luckily USC has ton of talent at that unit to plug in. Just a matter of coaching them up which USC does well.

In 2004 USC lost entire OL, Bush/White only soph. and lost entire WR corps and USC went out and won the BCS NC.

So Cal
Scott the one thing your forgetting is that Norm Chow is no longer around. As we all know the guy develops QB's maybe like no other .To assume that Booty or Sanchez will step up in
fill the shoes of #11 is fools hope.

It would be nice to see them reunite in tennesse

Yup, only one championship because AP titles dont count, but Alabamas titles from a local newspaper in 1892 do!

Man I know some people are backwards, but I think you are upside down too

I was curious as to how tough it is to get tickets to USC home games, a buddy and I were thinking of coming out to the Nebraska game but weren't sure how tough tickets would be to get. Thanks!

I look for Zona to knock off USC early in the season or possibly Stanford at mid-season, but I really can't see Nebraska beating USC on the road nor Arkansas having enough of a passing game to beat USC.

Getting USC tickets>>>

Getting USC tickets>>>

The best approach is to log onto USCtrojans.com and they will post when the tickets are available to the general public. They generally go on sell after June and then ship to you about 2-3 weeks prior to that game.

You should be able to acquire an SC ticket this way or you can contact the Husker ticket office and they will have an allotment.

Additionally, as sad as it makes me, SC might lose some of the bandwagon and us fans will be able to get our hands on tickets again and appreciate the team and not the ESPAM hogwash.

So. Cal
This is my prediction of how USC next year will go

2006 USC Football Schedule

Sept. 9 At Arkansas win
Sept.16 Nebraska loss
Sept. 23 At Arizona loss
Sept. 30 At Washington State win
Oct. 7 Washington Univ. win
Oct. 14 Arizona State loss
Oct. 28 At Oregon State win
Nov. 4 At Stanford win
Nov. 11 Oregon loss
Nov. 18 California Bears loss
Nov. 25 Notre Dame loss
Dec. 2 At UCLA Bruins win

I agree with Scoot about SC Oline being their biggest losses, the fab 3 were incredible but Leinhart never got rattled, and had all day to throw, Bush and White ran through BIG holes time after time.
Scott, is wrong about SC starting 6-0 will be NC, just like he was this year. Oregon is only getting better, ND beat them last year and will beat them even worse this year. and Cal is looking to be the best team in the Pac as of this offseason.

I also agree with Scott about SC defense being very good, but where is their offense going to come from?!?! Freshman QBs with a nano second to decide to throw to? They will have no expereinced running game and running game is almost always as good as the Oline lets it be and SC wont have one.
Im already going to be fading SC unders and losses for next season.

C'mon BLG. There is no way with all that talent that they finish .500 against that schedule. At worst they are going to go 8-4, but probably 10-2 or 9-3.

If USC starts the season 6-0, IMO they will win the BCS NC game. Starting 6-0 is the challenge. Carroll is the best at getting young players to produce at high level. After 6 games, USC won't have an inexperienced team. I think you are also forgetting USC practices very hard which is like playing a game. After 6 games, after spring pratice, after Aug. practice, and season practices, USC players will be tested and ready. Plus USC unlike last year, gets most of their tough game @home.

where is their offense going to come from?!?! Freshman QBs with a nano second to decide to throw to? They will have no

Booty has been @USC 3 years and Sanchez 1 year. Both Booty and Sanchez were 5-star recruits and regarded as the #1 QB in country out of high school. Both have been AWESOME in USC practices. Booty got a lot of game experience this season. MOST IMPORTANTLY, both are mobile QB's. Something USC has not had since Carson Palmer. USC has ton of talent at OL but these QB's easily can buy time and they will be throwing to LEGENDARY WR corps. USC WR corps will be NFL quality. (Jarret, Turner and Smith)

Only thing that worries me is TURNOVERS but USC will have strong enough D to "hopefully" overcome turnovers. Turnovers prob. will happen in the first 6 games.

Both QB's could start right now at 90% of D1 schools. That is no joke. Fans doubted Leinart taking over after Palmer. There are NO DOUBTS about either Booty or Sanchez. They are that good!

expereinced running game and running game is almost always as good as the Oline lets it be and SC wont have one

USC has TON of talent at OL (a lot of upperclassmen too) and USC OL coach REUL turned down to coach OL in the NFL. Put 2 and 2 together and USC will have an outstanding OL 2h of the season. (key word 2h)

Im already going to be fading SC unders and losses for next season.

I think USC will average over 30ppg.

I think USC playing 3 of first 4 on road is brutal. I agree with Master Capper that @ARIZONA is scary game for USC. Stoops is doing an awesome job @Arizona and his team will be ready. But I think USC will have to escape 2 CLOSE games to start the season 6-0. But after that, USC will dominate as usual.

All in all, USC won't lose more than 3 games and if USC starts the season 6-0, I am 90% confident USC wins their 3rd NC in 4 years. People have no idea how much talent is on this USC team. After 6 games, the team will be on fire. Especially if they are 6-0 and playing for a NC. Great value with USC being 10-1 odds to win it all. But I'll wait until after Spring Practice. Maybe the best part of betting USC this season to win it all is if the starting QB gets hurt, the 2nd string actually might be better. :scared

One more thing. People love to doubt USC. Which is ok. But remember this.

USC couldn't replace Carson Palmer.

USC couldn't replace Mike Williams and Colbert.

USC couldn't win with new OL, new WR's, and new FB.

USC couldn't win without Norm Chow and losing 3 other key position coaches.

The fact is. Great players leave USC. Great players are waiting to step up. USC simply reloads and will continue to reload every year as long as PC is the head coach.

justin zwick was the #1 quarterback in the country coming out of high school too. that doesn't guarantee anything.

whats scary is that im not sure there's a definite loss on usc's schedule next year. the 3-game stretch to end the season will be tough. and the season opener at arkansas will be tough as well. otherwise, the trojans could cruise through the middle portion.

Texas & their high school offense couldnt beat USC either.....but we all know how that story ends.

Since when did USC WR corps become legendary? WTF have they done to deserve this honor. To be legendary you must actually do something legendary. No, potential doesnt count. I didnt know the new Randy Moss, Tim Brown & Anthony Carter are playing for USC.

At some point in your life you have to take off those rose colored glasses. You twists & spins are just a joke on this board, dont your realize that you need to have some amount of objectivity.
