Is that 80% of 2 units? 80% doesn't mean anything if it is only a couple units, not impressed. Post the amount if it is that BIG.

You know, its funny but more often than not when a team comes out intending to prove something, they fail. . . NFL teams trying to make the playoffs and college football teams trying to make bowls or prove they belonged in the BCS. If USC can roll over this Michigan team, I'll give them a ton of credit.

Pete is a hell of a coach and I'm sure USC will be focused on Michigan only but there are certainly other distractions and if they aren't ready for this Wolverine team, they will be in trouble.

I still think you undervalue the Wolves. . . especially their passing attack as we all know USC's weakness is to the air. The key will be Navarre. . . can he be effective in the air to allow Perry to rush effectively on the ground? Last year, I would say no chance in a big game. . . this year, I would have to say he can as he has proven it.

While Michigan should enjoy the friendly skies, their special teams certainly are not on the same level as USC except for their punt returner which will be dangerous if he has time to set up and run. How anyone can cap special teams and know exactly what will happen I have no clue!

I wish you well on your bet. . . you are an obvious homer just like I am for Michigan so I can't fault you for it. If I was a USC fan and saw how the Trojans played this year, my money would probably be on them as well because they dominated so many teams.

Personally, I think the best bet is the over as both teams will have to score a lot to win this one.

GL on your play !

I'll place a few Sheckles(sp?) on USC. I gather most of my Bowl info here and other message boards. I read a bunch of posts and gather my own conclusions, like many I'm sure. I don't really follow the teams all year. just the stats, W-L, $$$ probability. so I love to read posts from a true fan of "today's " game. Thanks for the write-ups. I know many only post their picks without reasoning. That's OK when you Know the capper is good.

One question, do you always leave that much in your accounts at one time? I would make a withdrawl once in a while. Seems safer,
unless your hanging with Anthony R. :nono:

GL and go USC

I love to see anyone who has the heart and cajones to gamble!! Even more when they put things in prospective and continue to put their profit in the fire. It is obvious to me that this is not a money thing for most of us,.....but a daily shot of adrenalin that continues to drive us through life at our own pace. Just like driving a car down the freeway, everyone has their own style and speed, and if this doesn't put others in danger, then I think it's great!!
Scott, I think your suggestion is a good one, about posting your bet tickets and the books name!! All things are relative, and the amount you bet will determine the amount of your reward. Some here might not understand your play since most of us can only dream of a winning year like you're having and what we would do with that much profit. The thing I find the most intresting about your post is that you are not doing this for the money, but for your own conviction based on work you do following your team. I hope you win and help others win,.....since that is what Madjack's is all about!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Ya'll.
Keep it Positive, Topdog!!

How can they have a '3pete' next season when they haven't even had one 'pete' yet?

Thanks for replies and its 10am and I am off to the game. TOPDOG that was pretty good post and pretty much right. Although this really is a great play. No way would i bet 9k if USC was -14, even though i think USC wins by 13-20pts. I am glad it is not raining in Pasadena.

As a side note that i did not mention, the USC practices this week have been really intense. This team is ready (as I am sure Michigan is as well). The players are very pumped and excited and have been practicing really well. This is big for me because in bowl games you always have to fear of let down or teams not wanting to be there. USC WANTS TO BE AT THE ROSE BOWL! Also glad USC is playing historical program with great tradition in Michigan. USC has beaten Michigan 4 out of the last 5 times they have played! :p

There also is chance USC best LB and player on defense, GROOTEGOOD might play. Not start but play. HE IS A STUD. How effective will he be i dunno, he was gimpy at practice.

Carroll said Michigan is the toughest team he has faced at USC outside of KSU. (he said KSU was because of the option). SO the coaches and players are not taking Michigan lightly and will prove why USC is the #1 team in the nation. Look for USC to do what they did to Iowa last year.

Lastly, if USC is ahead by 4pts or less or losing at half, BET HUGE ON USC 2h. GREAT BET! Trust me.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you attend Michigan's practice at all? I'm sure USC's practice was far more intense than the Wolves :tongue

Have fun at the game. . . wish I was going too but my TV will have to do.

I am a huge Mich fan. My father is at Rose Bowl and I have my vintage 98 woodsen jersey on. With all that said, I still feel you have made a wise choice in your wager. Being a avid sports gambler for 15 years I never put my money where my heart is.
I just wish I wasn't a Mich fan so I could unload like you. Unfortunately I can't force myself to do this. I have won plays for and agaisnt Mich over the past 3 years about 85% of the time. I know this team in and out and this time they are in danger of what could turn into a blowout. Loyd just doesn't impress me and his big 10 playbook ain't going to work on this team. We all know Mich has a suspect run D which will open USC's high power pass. On offense Mich is well balanced but once down 10 points or more become frantic and uncharacteristic. Look for a Minnesota style game with no come back.

I know I sound like a Mich hater but I will be praying for them to prove me wrong all day. I would like nothing more than to see Mich win and win big. It could happen if they want it enough but I don't feel they do.

final call

USC by 13

i think anyone with any integrity and balls should give scott a respectful bump by saying "nice call" on the trojans

sure hes a homer, and i think the forum could use some increased objectivity, but that fact of the matter is this:

usc is a better team than michigan.
obviously thats why they were the chalk.

whether or not they can/could beat oklahoma -- we'll never know

but for one day, he deserves the same accolades and props that we distribute freely and generously to other guys when they hit a big game

I gotta concur. . . you were correct with several of your points, but the best IMO was correctly calling the huge coaching edge to USC. Maybe, just maybe LSU or OU will change my mind, but I think the human beings have the correct national champ and not the computers.
