I have yet to experience a long line for a cab in Vegas. I always try to arrive around 8pm - maybe that's a good time......

i have always experienced long lines at the airport but the line does move pretty fast....& the long lines at hotels usually happen after shows end....but a way to get around it is to hang out at the hotel where you are at for a few hours....what's the difference where you lose money....:mj07:

I have been in many a cab and I can say the Vegas cab drivers are usually the most friendly of any as they know you are in town to drop some coin.NONE have ever taken the highway to get me to the strip area and I have never asked for a specific route. Some do drive like crazy though.

As for the cab line, I had about a 6 hour layover in Vegas on the way back home from the UT/USC game and I spent almost 1 hour of it waiting to catch a cab to get to the strip.
Turns out it was the weekend coming up for the Electronics show though.

If you are ever looking for a career change then becoming a Vegas cab driver sounds very lucritive. You are busy just about any time of the day no matter what time of year or how many cabs are on the street. Just pull up to a hotel and wait like 30 seconds max if there is not already cabs sitting there. It may be small money for a short ride but wherever their stop is equals another fare more than likely.

I have always thought I would do that one day.

Just get me one of these hats and I'd be good to go :00hour

The only real draw back is booze. My buddy puked in a cab which I am sure just about every Vegas cabbie has had to deal with if they have been around long enough.
And you might get the angry drunk a few times as well.

Of course you do. You also need to go on a diet.

I'm on one. NO hotdogs :nono:

basically raw veggies, raw fruit, soups, salads, grilled chicken, steamed shrimp, lean grilled beef.

i think i'm looking at 5 months of this again but thenafter, sensible eating. not this crap i've been eating since i quit smoking. i gave my body anything it wanted. no more :nono:

usually there isn't hardly a line at all but when there is...take the limo.

no other reason to take the limo, imo, unless you're there with 4 or more people.

some take the hotel shuttles. i'd rather walk kurby

I always take the shuttle  never had a problem

took the shuttle once and of course with my luck, was the first on the bus and the LAST off:mad:

last time took a cab and he stopped at the beverage store as we loaded up about $150 of champagne, beer and liquor in his trunk to take to the hotel:00hour
