since the only thing that i gamble on is football (i like to sit by my computer on saturday's & watch line movement), i prefer going during the summer months to vegas than during the football season......

the sites are unbelievable.....

you can sit by a hotel pool during the day & watch the eye candy, have people bring you drinks, & fry your brain...to me that's the perfect day.....

btw, jack doesn't owe anybody an explanation of why he is going to vegas...or anything else....the popularity of this board speaks volumes of his management style & how he treats people.....

Good point about football AR, but since I've never been to LV for a variety of reasons, I'd love sitting in the sportsbook on a saturday morning and betting and watching a slate of games...RE: the hotel, thx for the help but it's moreso I was looking to find someone to share a room w/ or go out w/some buddies and it hasnt worked out, I'd rather have the extra $ to gamble with as I said, thats the long and short of it, but the bottom line is anyone can find the money to go if they really want to, it'll be a late decison as it's also july 4th weekend and a few other things, I wish I was living where you were I'd be in LV probably every other week, lol..........of course sitting by the pool and all is great, my point mostly was about walking around at night and in the evening, if I'm staying a bit of a walk from people I dont feel like frying walking 25 minutes each way to dinner/casino, plus stumbling home drunk and dehydrated later on, thats all, but yeah you're inside most of the time, and there is always eye candy in LV no question......
re: jack and the site, what can i say, I'm cynical and dont take a lot at face value as I've seen so many con jobs in my life and in the papers, and two faced people.......Jack's a good guy from all accounts I'm sure we'd have a great time, but I just don't like cannonizing people, etc like theyre doing us a favor for things theyre MAKING MONEY in a business from, they deserve to, but people in general need to put a front on to grease the people putting food on their tables, I just rarely believe all that I see on the outside, maybe I'm wrong but what can I tell you....this board is good and it kills a lot of time, helps w/capping, etc no question, but frankly I wouldnt care who the owner of the site was and what their personality was, mean, nice, an a-hole etc, the sites content and other posters are what really matters, and just like athletes dont like fans and think they are saps a lot of the time, a lot of business owners think their customers are saps also and should be more grateful they have a livelihood from them, but I'm off my soapbox, I wish my life experiences had caused me to become more of a ****-eyed eternal optimist, but I am coming around slowly but surely :SIB

i've witnessed firsthand a few businesses start up & watched some become successful & some that were run into the ground....

well Dawg, of course business owners and you know this since you own one and I do NOT, need to 'act the part' and cater to the customers, of course and keep them happy, my point is things arent always what they seem on the outside, I'm sure theres people you need to be nice to/cater to that you may not particularly like, but you need to for business, and vice versa, that was my point.....
LOL, I was mainly replying to smart moneys post saying he had a point that was legitimate and everyone else bashed him and acted like this site was the best invention in america since the telephone, of course jack's not greedy and he is a good guy i'm sure, but lets relax about treating people as god's and that they are doing us a favor in certain cases, it's more so the other way around of us doing them a favor by populating the site and it's sportsbooks

Fair enough AR......I didnt mean to imply I've seen it all, I've seen not much compared to you older guys, but also growing up in NY and not South Dakota or bumblef**k, as you know, you see a lot of things, and a lot of people with money who do a lot of stupid/illegal/BS things to make it, and a lot of people in that same vain, and in FLA you see much of the same transient schemers......I know you have to roll with the punches, and I have in some ways, I've taken it too far the other way discrediting too much though, oh well.....

I never said you didnt surf the net, AL......I just said I do also, and to eachs own on what they think is important, I dont even notice the owners attitudes nor care, others might, to me theyre all out for sponsors and $$, and everything else comes second, despite the tap dancing they tell you, how many books have been crooks/slow payed and advertised on several forums over the years...........re: the problems with books, this has been said and it's worth repeating 500 times........if you get into a problem with a book you're an idiot, how many problems do you hear with the top echelon books? almost nill, if you dont use any of the top tier books which I wont name but everyone knows, and you have a problem, you deserve it as harsh as that sounds, if you're a bonus whore etc.........just stick to the big boys and there shouldnt be a problem, people just like getting cute and getting bonuses, promotions, 'softer lines' etc the bottom line is use the cream of the crop books, if people dont they deserve what they get imho
