Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Wed night I was at Arizona Charlies ( Local on Decatur) inquiring about their Thanksgiving dinner.

We live pretty close and my visiting in-laws have chosen Arizona Charlies for Thanksgiving.

The casino is a smokey pit, I rarely play there other than to make a quick in and out sports bet.

After I got my info, I noticed a near deserted non-smoking casino area. I really wasn't in a slot mode, but what the heck, I had a couple hundred in my wallet.

I whipped several twenties into a bank of VidPok quarter bonus-bonus and went thru those pretty quick.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a couple Penny Outback Jack machines. I have a good friend in Oklahoma that says she always wins on this machine.

There was an older lady playing one, so I asked if she minded if I played the one she had laid her purse on.

I struck up a conversation with her and she told me she lived here in Vegas her entire life.
She talked about the history of some of the casinos she worked at back 45-50 years ago.....really interesting living history.

It turns out the casino we were gambling in (Arizona Charlies) was a Bowling Alley called Charleston Heights lanes in the 1970's

Anyhow, she got a phone call and had to leave.
She told me to stay at the machine I was playing, it was very due to hit the big bonus.

She wished me luck and left.... less than TWO MINUTES later I hit the Major Bonus...$1002.02 on a 90 cent bet.
I ran to see if I could find her, but she was gone like a wisp of smoke.

I immediately cashed, put 110 on Mich St +14 on the way out the door.

I told my family the strange story and they are convinced she was the ghost of the Bowling Alley past....
