I want to try to keep this sort of quick, so i'm not going to do a day by day like I usually do. A lot of it would overlap with Jackson, anyways.
Thanks to Hellah for taking charge of posting all the pics. I guess, as Jack Sr. says, we're all a bunch of dopes. He's probably not far off. Thanks man.
First of all, once again, it was a total blast. We had some problems with certain things at Sunset that have already been mentioned in other threads, and i'll comment on those later in those threads, but as always, the actual party on Sunday was bigger and better than ever.
Many thanks to Fletcher and Senor Capper for once again paving the way for how smoothly the party came off. Ferdville got there really early and manned the fort at the door as people came in. Thanks Fred. It was also a pleasure meeting your son and I could certainly tell that he was having a blast, ya know? lol
Fletch, buddy, get to hoppin' on a new place for next year. Seriously, thanks for everything, both with the party and with me personally, I appreciate it.
Thanks also to Fletchers wife Geri for calling me on friday, suggesting that we make sure that our party was good, after the NFL shut down some other parties out there.
As always, most of my 'non-party' time was spent with Jack and his family. As anybody that's been here for any length of time knows(well, maybe not bonus/contest whore Ninja), there is nobody more fun to hang with than Jackson and I am proud to call him a very close friend. If there was one person in this world who I had to trust with a million dollars, it would be him.
I also always cherish the time I spend with Gayle(too much time, according to the dipshit ninja), Jacks wife. She's a total sweetie and very cool to hang out with.
Along with that, as always, my man Jack Sr. didn't disappoint this year. He is always a ton of fun, pleasant, easy going and I look forward to any time that we spend together.
Jacks sister Cindy is a freakin' laugh riot and a bundle of energy. Her husband Eddie is equally as sedate and laid back. Hard to figure that coupling out, but I really enjoy each of them. Really, really good people. And that's all that matters.
I had a blast with my good friends Ray and Tara(Kid Rock in drag, apparently) at the Friday party, the main party on sunday and also on monday night when we went to Rio, etc. I met for the first time the softball crew and they were absolutely a ton of fun. Liz, Helen, Missy, Dave, Jim. It was truly my pleasure and I *know* all you guys will be back next year. But better yet, i'll see you guys before then up in AC.
Altice, a poster from other boards, stayed with me this year and it was the first time I met him in person. While we didn't get to do everything we wanted to, I enjoyed it immensely. Hopefully see ya next year, man!
It was also my pleasure to see the party vets. My craps partner loophole (I SURE as hell hope you ended up doing better than me overall..lol).. Seriously, Steve, it was great to see ya. And your wife on Friday could hardly talk because of her cold. Man, what a trooper. She was a lot of fun, even under those circumstances.
Gatorbait, great talking to you, man. We sweated out some stuff, huh?
Nick D. and Chioma, i'm glad you two could end up making it and good luck getting your car back. I was only vagely aware of that bet with yyz, but I did check you out as you were playing 'jeeves', a few times.
IX Bender, you know buddy, that whole club thing on friday sucked, believe me, but you're a lot of fun and I may make a trip up to HH in the next 6 months or so. Thanks for coming out again, man.
As we all know, Nolan and I aren't exactly drinking buddies, but there were no brawls, so that went well. Also, he brought his wife Marietta for the first time and she seems like a sweetie. He handed me a stack of his prop bets for the game, but I forget what any of them were. Hopefully he made out ok.
Mama, what can you say? Thanks for making the trip again! That sucks about the trip home, but from what I heard, you had a pretty good trip.
See ya nexy year, baby.
Ar182, it was great to see you, and talk to you again this year and your wife is so nice, and cute. How'd ya manage that one, man...lol...and I TOTALLY agree with your thoughts in the other thread about Sunset. But that will be the last year we have to worry about that.
Goat- glad you got paid on your hardway. Sometimes you have to get tough with them...lol...thanks for coming out again, man.
The new entries to the party that I met were fantastic. Dawgball, you better make it next year. yyz I met for a few minutes. I don't think he deserves the title of 'man-titties'.
Mach1- this guy was there everytime I turned around. He must have spent 24/7 in the casino. Great to meet ya man.
A guy named mark introduced himself to me. Not sure if that is 'mark', or 'markei' from the list, but thanks for coming, man.
Anybody that I missed, i'm sorry. But like every year, it was better than the last and i'm happy to have talked to, and met with, and gone out with every person there.
As tbonez would say, 'holla'!
