yeah..i saw the $179 termination fee language with my magnifying glass...lol..
$150 doesn`t sound bad for 2 years(and i`m good for about 2 ppv`s per month so it`d be around $250)......the price on the flyer was $139 but i didn`t think the boxes(i`m looking at 3 myself) were included...or the taxes and fees...the best thing about comcast is that you don`t need the boxes to get most of the basic channels...
somehow i think i`ll get stung a little worse than $150 when it`s all said and done...of course different regions have different pricing...
they get pissed dealing with me because i want to know exactly what i`m getting and they don`t like laying it all out....
i`m shocked that people buy these packages without knowing EXACTLY what they`re getting...

I had comcast with HD and cable modem and was paying about 120-135 month.
Switched to directv and now have more HD channels and more channels than what I did with comast and pay $62/month and add in ATT DSL for another 30-35

i have comcast internet, phone and hdtv for a little less than $130 per month.
i just took their offer to add phone to my package 2 months ago and it reduced my bill from over $150 per month for just internet and tv :shrug:
plus i am saving $90 a month for cancelling att&t.
basically the phone is about the same as magic jack because they plug it into your modem making all the other outlets in the house useless. but i don't care, 4 phones is enough.
the internet is the fastest i have seen anywhere.

btw, i signed for 1 year special and they say they will adjust charges after that time.
then i'll tell them to screw off or i'll switch and i bet they let me continue with the deal.

i think you`re right,jackson...my special ends in late april and if they jack the rates up i`ll probably change,too...
i don`t see why someone wouldn`t change every few years if the other company is offering you a "deal"...it`s a relatively small hassle...
finally with verizon,comcast has some real competition...that`s the way the system is supposed to work....competition is a wonderful thing...
