Well here it comes again.. Another promising season that will go down the shitter... Well it won't be worse than 98..... Was that a long drive home from the Dome but at least the game went over and that was bleak..

This is a rant and a buzzed up one at that.... I live in Wisconsin so what I drank tonight would probably have most of you past out..:142smilie Maybe not..

Got hammered on Sunday and did not want to drink tonight but at half time I had to run to the liquor store to take the edge off.. I watch all the games with the sam buddy for the last 18 years and we said two words to each other on the way home that fateful day in well 99. So lets get this rant started..
I hope most of you can see how good Favre still is at 40... WOW he can play.. So I got a 6 pack for the second half and finished off my last swallow of that when the Vikes tied it at 30.. Asked my buddy if he had any beer and he said it was his last one.. He had rum in the cabinet but no mix., I found grape Kool Aid and mixed up for the OT..
Ok in OT we get the ball back after a FG miss. Wow. Thought we had it and then sack sack.. FUCK then we get it again and AP fumbles WTF do you do? Well we lose.. But hear this..

All you people that hate Favre can go fuck themselves.. If you, me or someone else can still play like that then we would all still be playing.. Got lucky on a tip that should of been picked but Chico got lucky on a blocked FG an easy pass interference in the first half and a block in the back that planted a vike on his facemask on one return but besides thiss....

After we took control in the 3rd quarter, I was the loudest guy in the whole bar. I had a few embarrassing outbursts during 2 Ravens TD's only to have them called back because of penalties.

After the game, I kinda tucked my tail between my legs and sneaked (snuck?) outta there with my head down. Then, I bitched all the way home and for an hour or so on the forum.

Seriously for the life of me i don't understand how you guys get so emotionally involved with these teams. What exactly do u get if they win it all? A good feeling inside? Im not breaking balls here cause i always wondered this. What is there 28 teams in the league? The probability of ur team winning isn't the greatest. Life is to short to worry about some football team winning when 95 percent of the guys on the team couldn't give to shits about you. I think its pretty clear Childress might be the worst coach in the NFL. He only got a contract extension bc of Favre - he should be busy kissing his ass instead of causing Minny to lose games by insisting on a running game that isnt working while the NFL's 2nd rated passer has been essentially unstoppable.

Their 10-1 record was built on the backs of lousy teams. They beat the Browns, Lions (twice), Rams, and Seahawks. That's five wins. They beat GB in two emotional games. They beat the 49ers on a miracle play and the Ravens on a missed FG at the end. They pounded the Bears in the dome.

Besides the Pack, their only quality win came over the Bengals, who have trouble scoring.

the vikings were a great team d wise until they lost henderson- now either they get to the qb which they have not done in recent weeks accept against cincy- or they need to score alot of points. the vikings need to change there game plan if the front cant get to the gb - they need to blitz because brinkly is bad in coverage- winfield is awesome fom the corner blitz - and peterson needs to hold onto the ball- farve wanted that game bad last night but he sees the little things that arent being done. the vikings are a very good team with alot of superstars and leadership. i think he cuts farve loose by allowing bevell and farve work together- if you noticed childress was not involved in the second half on timeouts bevell was - childress left them alone- i think childress is a decent coach but is being to conservative- in the past he had to be but on d and o he needs to cut them loose. and farve is behind the scenes making sure it happens- he called out the team and management after the game by saying they will lose early in the play-offs-letting him know he has been to 2 super bowls and know what it takes. i think we see a diff team next week and if they get the by they will make the nfc champ game- big ifs but we will see

Played the Wii with the nephews today and it does put the finer things in life into perspective. Let me address some issues I have..

1. Yeah Jack the Pitt loss must have been a mother fucker... I didn't watch many highlights but to watch Mason drop the ball.. I would of went through the roof.

2. I don't really know why I get emotional about a bunch of guys I don't know but i guess it stems in from being this way since I was a kid.. Why does a football team get me to act this way?? Don't know..

3. The Vikes may have found themselves a bit in the second half but some of that could just be that Chico's defense is just that bad.

4. Vikes need to get the #2 seed because they won't win in Philly.

5. Vikes a fraud.. maybe but there are not many teams in the NFC who have beaten quality opponents.. Saints are over rated.. Watch out for Philly.. Pray they lose to the Cowboys..

I am a Viking's fan and it was a typical Viking choke. After 40 years of suffering, I thought that this was the best year to make the superbowl since the dirty birds shit on us. Quarterback was glaring weakness. We had the running game and a good run defense but those have been mediocre at best. I thought the two seed was there for the taking you got to get it, but they let it slip right through their hands. I thougt that they could win their home playoff game and maybe take the Saints. Viking fans can never rest because they have seen it all. Childress is a joke just like Tice. They have let two coaches go who have won Super Bowls and we are still stuck on 0.
