VT/BC in game thread!!!!

how many times within the last few years has virginia tech gotten out of the gate fast, dominated in OOC, dominated the first couple of BE/ACC games .... and then once they get smacked in the mouth by someone, they start to fade down the stretch? basically, they tend to oeak early in the season before sliding down in the polls toward the 'teens in the later months.

well it could be that VT OOC has duke/cincy/ark st/james madison/and other perenial losers. Tough not to start the season strong like that.

What about 03? VT losing to SC right out the gate, then they come back and get a coupe wins then drop one to NC ST, they bounced back by beating WV #6 at the time. And they finished the season as one of the tops in the country and almost beating auburn in the sugar bowl. Thats the exact opposite of what you just said is the reason why you believe herbstreit weak arguement. What other team doesnt have breakout stars that look towardsthe NFL?

Congrats to BC and their backers, I can only hope VT can regroup and glennon/DB take a hard look at themselves and get it in gear.
