I really did not follow his career but on wed. we were driving from Quebec to Toronto every time we would stop for fuel & food someone would be talking about his death. I read the article in the Globe on Fri. they really loved him in Toronto. Not releated but went to the Hockey Hall of Fame what a great experience.

Yep as stated in other thread he was loved in Toronto.

Devastating news for sure.

And as stated in other thread, I met him once and he was super nice and hilarious. And as stated in other thread he helped my friends pregnant wife carry groceries up to her condo. How many athletes would carry groceries over one block up to a lady's condo? Not many.

Makes no sense at all.

Sad news.

Kick do you think there is a correlation of being enforcers of all 3 players ? I know Rypien & Boogaard had some history of depression & substance abuse. They stated Belak had 136 fights in 14 yrs. Boogaard 163 fights & rypien 39.

I read that a Globe reporter proposed to reduce the roster 1 or 2 players. I t would be a luxury to carry enforcers who produce very little offense .
