That woman just wants to get under this CEO's skin. She's kind of a douche.

They'll make it all back over time...unless Amazon demolishes them especially if they roll out their 1-2 hour delivery service to all major cities.

If anyone can do it Amazon can. I have several friends that work there and they say the growth of the place is lightning fast. Also, they say the KPI's are sometimes unattainable, and their superiors ask too much of them (i.e. a buddy wanted to take a 20 minute lunch break to pick up a sandwich at Subway across the street and his manager said no). I've heard other horror stories too, I guess you really have got to be cut out to work there. The Media did a story about it not long ago. Also, some people stay just to get vested then leave immediately.

They've contacted me twice about sales management positions, first time I said all right and found the job/application process to be tedious and the recruiter to be a flake. Second time, I flat out said NO way.

The expectations are high @ Amazon, part of the reason they are a market leader. They are learning some cultural lessons from Zappos.
