He is drinking. Bourbon. It is 9:00 in the morning.

I say - rough night?

He says - nope. Gonna be a rough day.

I say why?

He says - conference calls all day long until 6pm - corporate BS.

I say - can I have a drink? He just points to the sidebar.

I pour some Yellowstone into a glass and go back upstairs.

Gonna be a good day for me!!!!!:0074

Old schoolers definitely drink at work. My dad still has a cheesy globe bar and a sitting area in his office:facepalm:

Whew! That is some gut rot. Pretty metallic tasting if I remember correctly. But it is bourbon at work, so not terrible.

My favorite grand-parent (actually my mom's step-dad since her father passed away when she was nine years old) died when I was about 10 years old. We had an awesome relationship.

When we went to his house after the funeral, I went to sit in his car to get away from all of the people. He was an old tobacco chewing, bourbon drinking farmer. So sitting in his car reminded me of him. I still have that smell in my memory, and it's awesome!

Anyway, sitting there, I reach under the driver side seat, and there was an unopened 1/2 pint bottle of Yellowstone. I still have the bottle unopened on my shelf in my home office. About 20% of it has evaporated away.

Yellowstone will always have a warm place in my heart... but probably never room for it in my belly.

Thanks for the memories, Joker. :0074

It is a little rot gut, boss says he has been drinking it for decades.

You know - it doesn't even taste like Bourbon......

He has Woodford - but some reason likes Yellow as it is usually the one he drinks......
