Keep your eyes peeled because with gas prices rising like they are, you're gonna be seeing some nice discounts out there. :0003

I bought my truck back when gas was over $4.50 and did exactly as you describe.

My friend who does auctions said my truck would have easily pulled in $10-12k at auction the year prior.

When they brought it up the line, everyone simply left. Got my Silverado for $5,200 with 40k miles on it.

My father and I had a long talk last week about oil prices and he's of the opinion they're getting ready to go very high. He's been in the oil business since before I was born and usually calls it pretty well.

All I can say is after the conversation I've decided to see my Rover and it's 9mpg to get something more fuel efficient. I typically don't mind high gas prices because I don't have a car payment so I've always used that as an excuse but if prices go where he thinks they'll go then I'll have run out of excuses.
