I can't seeing Texas getting over 6 this year. Their D will be better but their QB situation might be the worst in the nation. Swoopes can't hit WRs to save his life and I'm not just saying that because I hate UT. He's been horrible since he was in high school. How does a guy his size not dominate 2A football in Texas.

They have some options at backup that might not be as bad but I think they pulled a UT on this one and promised the kid the job. Much like they did Sims over Applewhite.

If their Oline was going to be dominant then I might think it was possible. While it will be good I don't think it will be dominant.

Rice, Kansas and Tech look like for sure wins. For sure losses look to be ND, OU, TCU, Baylor and WVU. At KState will be a tough one and I would lean towards a loss. At Iowa State is a win but not a give me. So you have Okie State and Cal left.

IMO they will lose to Okie State or Cal and that will kill the over. If someone leans to the over I can see doing it because Strong is a good coach but good gosh it's hard to be a good coach with a QB like Swoopes.

I can't seeing Texas getting over 6 this year.

6 for me is a no brainer win, I'm not counting on Swoopes to be Horns' answer at QB, I'm counting on second year in the system and new blood in the lineup and Strong's coaching style to fit in better in year 2 mainly.

They were in most games last year including Baylor (turnovers killed them), they beat Okla St @ Ok St and have them at home this year.

Wins I'm counting are: Rice, Cal, Ok St, Iowa St, Kansas, W V and Tex Tech. Also I'm looking at them to be competitive vs Oklahoma (Dallas site) and at ND in week 1 (ND with new QB in place and Tex will be big dogs). K St with new QB in place too and they get Texas in 7th game.

Just a heads up. USM will not be that much improved. MSU is a lot deeper and more experienced that what the public believes. MSU will blow USM out. It's Dak Prescott haha. Russell was the previous QB.

Only reason I'm on S Miss is they are at home this yr after losing 49-0 LY at Starkvegas and once the line went up on MSU it went down 3 pts, not a gradual 3 pts either, a whole 3 pts, which means something is up!! But who knows? High expectations and a great yr last yr vs a team they should destroy - that line is whacked imho!

Best thing is the season is early!! LOL
