For opinion sake, Kansas has hung with 3 decent football teams this year. Yeh, Meier is out, but so is I.St.'s leading rusher, not to mention Reesing looking excellent last week. I look for Cornish to have a big game on the ground.
Statistics wise, Kansas has about a 30% advantage over Iowa St.
The only drawback I see is that Kansas has played a slightly easier schedule (7% by my rankings).

My prediction: Kansas 36 Iowa State 22

Fair enough.

For the record, I think this is an absolutely impossible game to cap.

No way to know which KU team shows up... we don't even know who the starter will be at QB (it could be one of three guys). Also, they are an awful, awful road team (check out their road record and Big 12 record's in Mangino's era).

That said, ISU has essentially given up on the season and could easily be winless. But they are a more talented team, with more experiance, playing at home.

Hope for the miracle that Meier is playing. Since I highly doubt that he will... pray that Reesing is in. Barmann starting on the road will immidiaitely be lost money... I promise you.

Obliviously I am pulling for you on that selection... but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot poll. Either of these teams could win in blowouts and it wouldn't surprise me.

But all three road games this season were within 7pts or less. And I do believe that Kansas has a stronger team, but you are right in the fact that they still need to show up to play Saturday. I think the win over a well-improved Colorado team last week will help with Kansas' confidence this weekend.

No debating that. They have played with everyone that they have played.

Their problem, especially on the road, have been second half implosions...

Let's hope they break through this weekend. GL man.

I like Minny b/c for one, the stats show a blow out of two tds or more, and #2, the line movement. This line should be movin down and isnt. Plus, you think Minny has given up? They just got blown out by the STRONGEST team in the country. I think they will be alright.
