Week 12's mixed bag

I know I don't post like usual players do by just listing picks; I like to mention what kind of play I handicapped each as well. I also posted games that may have just started or ARE done and they come from the PENDING picks in parlays and/or teasers. I'm doing my best to get them in here well before thems start too.

Here's how I'm posting from this time on:
I'll post pending games in my tickets that are still alive and also games that are still PENDING on any DEAD tickets and I'll indicate which type they are:

I mix baskets with football plays in the exotic (parlay/teaser/"sucker") tickets. In my next thread I'll write why I do that (mix sports, that is) .. it makes a lot of sense to me.And surprisingly, I've nailed a very high % of BASKETBAWL winners.. even better than them footsballers. For these BB's, I don't even look at any stats at all and just go by what my luck has been with the plicks, how I remember them from last season, and looking mostly for teams that qualify that are getting points. The oddsmakers don't have much to go by when assigning those spreads this early in the season. Other basketball wieners came from watching the 1st. half real careful like and betting the 2nd half.

EDITED: gotta add sumphin - Re: college baskets - I once wrote in a forum, "why do people waste so much time watching thems games when all ya gotta do is watch the final seconds or minute of so many of them games cause THAT'S WHEN THE EXCITEMENT AND THE WINNER/COVER IS DETERMINED". Yeah, I didn't make many friends after writing that. :chairshot

I do watch most of the games early in the season to see how teams play and start checking the stats after they played 3 or 4 games.

I'm thinking you may be asking me that question to keep me interested in stickin around this place? :lol:. Whatever the case is, I'm really glad to hear from you.

I also think my reasons are pretty obvious -
I have many reasons; here's some of them

- IMO, there's something seriously wrong with Mizzu; look at their last 3 games. Maybe they can get a pass with their game vs. Ga. but how bout vs. Vandy AS A 21 Point fav. and they lose by a TD and they were at home. They looked like they didn't even wanna play in the Ga. game which was their last game; they rushed for -116 yds. and passed for whopping -15. Yeah, MINUS!

- I said/wrote "seriously" cause take a look at their previous games before the last 3 - tremendous.The tires came of the vette after that last good game for whatever reason.

- For me, watching Florida's games was enough reason- great 2nd half team, and their defense is very good, like - Gators scored 113/opponents got 29 in 4th Qtr. and for the 2nd 1/2 it was 203 to 66. That may say something about their stamina and fighting off 40 deg. (that ain't poo pies, I came from N.J. ) weather too. BTW, Gators played Vandy last week, ah.. it was 56 - ZIPPO (as in "zero")

- Even considering how the Tigers scored previously - Gators AVG score is 33+yds. and Tigers is 28.

- I understand it ain't all bad news for Mzz cause Bryant may be QB on Sat. and it looks like Tigers still have a better than decent defense. Still - asfaras Bryant goes, Trask has thrown for 2011 yds. and Bryant's no. is 1845.

- These two teams played EXACTLY the same three opponents and just compare how they did vs. them AND when they played them esp. for Mizzzu.

- Lastly for this write-up - I'm not giving any pts. with the Money Line type bet and I expect to cash that parlay.

I always like replying to my friendly visitors as opposed to the moochers, "bob" (I just don't have the rest of the "speling" for this one )

bosbabiesarm, glad you enjoyed the blah, blah, blah I write here. You know how I feel about views and replies and you're gonna really enjoy when I write that short, TRUE story here someday about that stuff.

Getting down to "business" -
Here's the FIVE teams I'll be using in 3 teasers[ and a parlay. Instead of listing the actual plays and screwing up with the cut n paste stuff, it's easier for me to just list them on account of the no. of tickets I have. I like two of them a LOT and I may use two of of them as single side plays for more than 2 units. All 5 teams are listed below with their reg. UNteased lines.

Alabama -17 1/2 - I can't bare to lay that many pts. for a reg. play even if it is on Bama.
Memphis -10 - LUV this play
Indiana + 14 1/2
Doook - 10 1/2 my figures indicate that this one is a cinch; I think it's just a good play.
Cinncy - 14

The "Teaser Booster", which is a 4th team I add to a parlay or teaser to make it more valuable IF it cashes; it's the Minny(sota) NFLer on Sunday. I don't add it to every one of the tickets, just one or two of them.

Let's see how they do.

After last Sunday?s NFL I am close to sitting this week out.
Good luck today. Going to tail you on Memphis. Hope you are right about Duke. I am using them in teasers to get
to -3. Duke student newspaper was very critical of the recent play calling and suggested Coach Cut should take over for offensive coordinator. I expect to see a more wide open offense. I do think there will be a lot of points scored. Both defenses are banged up and may give up 30 plus points.

Earlier today was looking like I'd need a wheelbarrow for the cash coming in here today, NOT SO! Memphis wasn't looking good at all and IF they can't win by 2 or more pts. TWO of my 3 teasers are goners.

Lowell, it's good to space out the plicks timewise - f'instance, even though we are in much better shape now, I just put in a Houston "wins 2nd half" at good odds to avoid the disaster that would take a big bite out of any profits. See that NFL team "stuffer"? IF that one loses the 4 teamer is toast but I CAN avoid that ON SUNDAY. Even if I just wager to get the cost of the bet.

I just got on and only checked the Memphis game and it looks like we may be in good shape; I sure hope we are. I don't what's going on with Dookies now and gonna go and check. I'd be surprised if my the strong nos. favoring them could lose a TEASER play.

I hit the submit button on this two minutes ago, turn on the TV and see a dude from Memphis jump into the endzone for a TD.

Didn't even get to see about them Devils yet.

Get the wheelbarrows ready, even a small one is a good thing.

EDITED: JUST checked them Devils, sorry I did. Guess enough luck didn't get into this one. Still, it's gonna be a good weekend. Memphis is rolling along and I'm on them in a bit more than a few tickets (one of them was a MISTAKE). Ya gotta be careful the way Dimes lists the plays... I think I got one for the first half and not the game which was a freakin error on my part. You scroll down the plays too quickly and hit one that was in the 1st half list. I guess you can't rush when putting in the bets with Dimes the way my brain works. You can ask Cruncher about doing this.

This is what the 4 teamer looks like with plenty of pending plays, might be of interest to somebody.

Sat. was the Best day I had since posting my first post starting week 2 for this season. If the visitors check out the first post in this thread that there 4 teamer right under "Right Now" along with the teaser play that survived cause it didn't have Duke in it are the two major factors that made Sat. so good. Bet those two with over 2 1/2 times my normal bet sizes. Won a few decent single plays and one parlay as well. Two teasers died (above) along with one single line play.

Gotta take the MRS. to get a knee replacement on Thurs.; she fell off one of them ladders in the garage that go up to the attic. in addition to plenty of other stuff I'm doing may mean I might have to take a Madjack vacation. Besides, it looks like only a few members are interested anyway. Maybe some of the visitors follow my posts and if you decide to join this FREE forum stop in here with a keyboard and let me know. Chime in here and I'll do my best to get something in here.

I played in a few tennis tourneys and absolutely LUV that sport. She broke it months ago and that surgery putting it back together didn't work out so well, knee is crooked as all hell. People we talked to tell us those replacements work out very well. We got to pick the surgeon this time around.

Sorry bout the NFL plicks, last week's NFL stuffer didn't work for me either. Still can't believe how that "Pantha" game went. I can't believe how my basketball STABS are working. I do them on paper and also for real and the results are GREAT! Baskets may be my new "stuffers", you know - to boost the payout.

Ever notice when I post stuff at outrageous middle of the night hours? Yeah, I'm a nite owl, used to work nights. Well, quite a few yrs. ago in Maker's (some of yas may recognize that name) forum I was posting around 3 A.M. and while doing all the blah, blah, blah stuff I notice that there was some other nite owl on the forum. No big deal, but when I got back on the computer hours later I noticed he was still on the forum. I wouldn't post his name here even if I remembered it but maybe somebody here might recognize his "picture" (you know, whatever you call that picture when we post, like mine is Nadal serving). His was a cartoon type picture of a guy continually flipping a coin in the air and catching it.

I thought, "what is this guy doing?" and I checked it out. I remembered that he had around a hundred views earlier and now he had over 200 AND GOING UP, one at a time. I stuck around for a few minutes more and checked them out going up one after another in the middle of the night. :facepalm:

Maybe I have a sick sense of humor but I'm :mj07: right now just thinking about it.

For me, I really don't like seeing many views, maybe I can figure a way to erase them in the middle of the night. :lol:

Imo, it's a classy act for people, even just one time, to at least acknowledge folks who put a lot of time into researching the games, sharing their ideas, and willing to help others beat the books. I like classy peoples.
