Week 2 - 3 plays

PLENTY of studying and only can come up with only 3 plays. Well, at least I ain't gonna go 50% this week. Hell, you can do that with a dart.

NO darts used for these. Limited comments cause I'm bushed right about now:

Va Tech - 1st HALF -7: I got -6 1/2 on this play a few days ago at Dimes. Posting it at where it's at now). Tech had an easy oponent last week but just the experience/practice regarding their new QB with their star recievers (ALL returning) is going to pay off this week. Their defense appeared to be in mid season form and won't need to be vs. N.C. Tar Heels were dismal against Rutgers, a team that is over rated in my book. Play first half cause you'll get paid sooner.

Iowa -11 first half : We know they can score 21 pts. and even that little should be enough against the Orange Slush.

LSU - 9 first half : Last week was a nice practice session away for the Tigers, now practice is over and they'll more than be happy to roll out the welcome rug for the Wild Putty Cats that barely nosed out a team that the Tigers would inhilate. And, that game (BYU/Ariz.) was just FULL of mistakes. Take the team with TWO solid QBs and a deep, deep, benches in their home opener.

BTW - how bout that "new n Improved" Dimes outfit? NOW, ya gotta call in to see where you're at as far as earning your bonus. No big deal on that. But, NOW, ya gotta call in to buy pts. That is a big deal.
I DID call in - but not to buy anything but rather to tell them that I'm looking for a different book.

THANK YOU, Chill. You're right (toldya I was tired) - everything looks the same on that Dimes site and THIS WEEK - they got the games also listed in quarters. And that's what I checked off. Man oh man. No wonder I checked that box like it was the last beer in the frig. at a Super Bowl party. Although it's still probably a winnah - I JUST called them and changed it to :

LSU -9 first half

I'm gonna edit my post above so that rotten tomatoes don't come flying out of my puter the next time I turn it on.

Yepper, Survivor - that was a typo (got Iowa -11 first half) , but asfaras that LSU - I really pulled the trigger on that "mistake".

Good to see you agree on my plays.

Think all is straightened out now. Hey, at least I got the VA Tech down correctly

OK, 2 out of 3, that beats 50%. That means I'll be posting an odd no. of picks from here out.

Just some notes:

1. Was the Iowa loss due to Iowa given too much respect or Syracuse too little. I think it's the former - forgetting about Iowa for awhile. BUT, do keep them in mind for an UNDER. They certainly got some kind of defense in the red zone even it was against a piddling Orange ground game. Stopping ANY team 7 consecutive times at your goal line makes a bold statement.

2. I mistakenly took LSU -3 1/2 for the first quarter NOT the first half like I originally posted (edited my post to correct that). I wasn't going to call Dimes to correct my play because I figured -3 1/2 for the 1/4 would be a winner anyway but to play it safe I decided to call in to correct my play to -9 for the first half. Turns out that I shoulda just taken them for EACH quarter (-3 1/2)... . and those plays were available at Dimes too. How bout nailing 4 winners in one game?

3. Think you want to give Cal and Ga. a good look in their next game. Depends on the odds.
