Season Record updated:15-13

starting with these...

Arkansas +3.5 (-115) win

An extra week to prepare and their 1st big game since the loss to Wisky in last years Capital One Bowl. I think Nutt will have these guys firing on all cylinders. Saban and co will be great, but are still in rebuilding mode....

Houston -13.5 (-125) win
Put up 27 points in a very hostile environment against Oregon, who might just be a tad better than most thought. I'm sorry, but any team who gives up 38 points at home to Miss State should just forfeit the rest of the season. Should be an easy tune up before the Cougars home opener next week against Colorado State.

Going to play very few games this week...

Good Luck Everyone...

Like the Houston play... Miss St is not as bad of a team you think. They are not a bowl team but they are decent. State allowed Tulane only 6 yards in the second half. Im not so sure about the Arkansas game... They dont have a passing attack anymore since they lost their best 2 receivers. I know stopping their run is a big task but I kinda like Bama at home. Final plays for this week...

Heading out of town Friday night for a weekend fishing trip with the family...

Thursday Night

Over 64.5 WV/Maryland (-120) Loss

The Mountaineers have given up 24 and 23 points to W Michigan and Marshall. I do expect Maryland to be a bit better on the offensive side of the ball than either of those two. WV will be one of the biggest tests for the Maryland defense all season long. Anything shy of 40 points would be a surprise. If Maryland has any chance to cover this spread, they had better hit pay dirt early and often.

Vandy -5 Win

Score does the Commodores no justice last week as they dominated Bama the entire game. Home cooking should help get the job done this week.

Iowa State + 17.5 Win

Betting this only because of the in state rivalry. These games are always close no matter the situation of these programs. Don't get me wrong, Iowa State SUCKS, but if there's one game they will be up for this year, its Saturday.

Fresno State +17.5 (-130) Loss

Might have some letdown after last weeks HUGE victory in the big house. Bought a point for insurance, and like the Bulldogs to stay within the number.

Michigan State -10 (-130) Loss

Wish I had bet this a couple days age...My guess is this will go up to at least 12 or 12.5 Too many injuries for Pitt and fading Wanny on the road is usually a pretty good bet.

That's it boys...

Good luck this weekend!

Exactly, I mean how much does Iowa even care about this game w/ Wisky on deck:shrug: GL:weed:

Just a little insight from a Hawkeye Homer.

Dan McCarney (former Iowa St coach) openly admitted preparing for the Iowa game every year as their "Super Bowl". One of the first things new coach Gene Chizik said was we will not treat the Iowa game as our super bowl but will put more emphasis on the entire season. McCarney was an Iowa guy who coached at Iowa. Chizik will not push this rivalry like McCarney did.

Just to add to this a bit. If you are a player on either Iowa or Iowa State that grew up in the state, you generally grew up a fan of one team and a hater of the other. While Chizik can try and dismiss the rivarly, there are 39 kids from Iowa on Iowa State's roster and 49 kids from Iowa on the Hawkeye roster.
I like the Hawkeyes simply because of the new coaching staff. It is a huge change in offensive and defensive philosophies between MCartney and the new regime-and they simply do not have the players to run the system.
When Ferentz came to Iowa, he took his lumps the 1st few seasons, winning 1 and 3 games his first two seasons.
All indications from Ames(and I don't follow the Cyclones that close) is that Chizik is following the same path.
Good luck with your plays, Mully. Going to the game on Saturday, supposed to be a great day weather-wise. Go Hawks!

I took under 65. Thinking about trying to middle by going with the over, but I'll wait and see if the line keeps coming down.

Good Luck to you
