Oklahoma St +6 over Texas ****
Think Pokes offense will roll over Texas defense.. Texas defense gave up only 13 and 14 points to La Tech and Rice...but vs LSU gave up close to 600 yds on defense and 45 points ..they have so many new starters on defense and playing 2 weak teams isn't really a good test.. Ok St has a super rb in Hubbard who leads the nation in rushing. he has great cutback skills and has speed.... Gundy who owns Texas will run the ball and est a running game...then they have Wallace one of the top Wr's in the country. Last yr he had 222 yds vs. a Texas secondary ..he is a game breaker ..Sanders is a dual threat qb but very young and still inexperienced. But Ok St has 7 plays over 50 yds this year...they blew Ore St away 52-. and McNesse 56-14..they did beat Tulsa last week and won 40-21 but did struggle until the 2nd half..Gundy has big time players that can break away..their defense is improved but stopping Texas will be tough..Ehlinger has been great passing for over 100 yds in each game and no ints..Collins is back at WR.. also Texas wr's are solid in Duverney,Epps Smith and Eagles...then there best wr who was out last game Collins is big time..Rb's are avg with Ingram..qb is still your best rb..think the problem will be Texas defense..can they stop Ok St's offense...LSU has 3 wr;s that got over 100 yds each...Ok St OL is solid and can't see Texas putting any pressure on Sanders,,but stopping Hubbard is the real problem DL and Lb's have to stack up to stop him..Texas secondary is very young and makes mistakes..I see Wallace being double teamed and it opens up other seams else where.. Ok St has Texas numbers winning 5 straight in Austin.. think Texas offense will score and move the ball on offense,,but think they will be playing from behind...Hubbard will be attacking the Texas all day..play action should be available once Texas stacks the line...Wallace should get a few long gains...you have maybe the top Rb and WR in the B-12 going against a defense that has not been tested yet... Herman is 4-7 ats at home but the biggest bulletin news is Gundy mentioned that not one single Ok St player was ever recruited by Texas...talk about Pokes incentive...think Ok St covers and could easily win out right..hopefully Texas has fixed their air conditioning locker room ..
funny story.. T Boone Pickens passed away this week...he gave his alma mater Ok St millions of dollars..the stadium is named after him...he has building on campus named after him...he and Coach Gundy had their differences over the years...in his will he left $300 Million to Ok St,half of that to the athletic program....it is rumored he left Gundy $100 to " Cut and Shoot" barbershop to get rid of his mullock...lol
