Week 4 w. odds when I post this

Posting this because I will be using tonight's game on my first teaser ticket and I DON'T want get carried away and post it AFTER the game starts. ;

Looks like quite a few members have been reading my thread for last week and the object of it is in the beginning posts in there. Again, more than 50% of my teasers would have covered without the tease last season and I'm hoping the same may happen again for the forum.

I originally intended to just post the team names here, but I figure that I will put them in TONIGHT and I can just put the reg line odds here also when I put my bets in later tonight. I looked over the games already and double checked two of them and decided they will be going on my teaser tickets later...

UTAH currently at -4
Cntrl. Fla cur. at -11 :this team is for real; I've seen them play, seen them hold up vs. teams that were ranked much higher like scoring 32 vs. LSU and only losing by 8, good no. of returning players, etc. IF I did put this one in as a single play, which I ain't gonna do.. . I'd make it -10. FOR ME, prob. along with two other teams that I don't know who thems are gonna be YET, this one's a PICK for me.

Just starting doing the heavy handicapping and it'll prob. be hours before I get back here.

Hi Jimboski, thanks for posting. It's refreshing not to read some parrot repeating without thinking that teasers are for suckers. Actually, for the vast majority of bettors, just betting is for suckers. :0074

Anyway, just adding to your UCF teaser idea. My own fairly large teaser (for me) right now is

1. Central Florida (-0.5) vs Pittsburgh
2. New York Jets vs New England Patriots (-11)
3. Miami Dolphins vs Dallas Cowboys (-12.5)

I needed a good (semi sure) third leg for the Pat/Dallas 10 pointer and college UCF looked like it.

Well, I decided to take the TORTURE test and watch that Utah "football" game that played out more like a boxing or wrestling match AND the refs. were extra generous handing out penalties to boot. Sheesh! Got sick and tired of watching the Utes make quite a few high yardage gains on the ground only to get penalized backwards just way too many times. By the mid 3rd quarter I realized that the winner would not be due to talent but rather to be the team with less penalties. Enough about this killing my time when I could have been capping the teasers for tomorrow instead. It's gonna be a long, long early morning bedtime for me tonight.

BTW I didn't go over enough teams to put the Utes in a teaser and made a quickie reg. parlay (two teamer) with UCF, for 1.5 units. This game would have even killed a teaser if I made one even if by 1 pt.

yanno, I'm luvin UCF more and more, but I gotta tellya about an "off the wall" selection for a team I will be using tomorrow. I think most players like teasers to shave off a bunch of pts. that the favorite, high profile, high scoring team has to give the dog. Maybe you may find it interesting that I often use a different approach that goes pretty much like this -> how bout increasing the no. of points the dog gets when the regular line is 38 or more?

After looking at their record and the fact that they have a better than decent Q.B. and decent enough offense and defensive lineman. I know, I know... doesn't mean a thing when you consider their sched. vs. the Clemson powerhouse sched. But I am more serious about this part-> I don't think the Tigers are gonna exert the energy it takes to beat up a "mickey mouse" team or risk injuries that are always possible by beating them by 51 pts. And I also think they really really aren't "Mickey Mouse" either. Their chance of taking the USA Conference is very good too. Of course they'll get clobbered Sat., but I will take my chances starting this game 52-0. You know what I'm talking about, Yanno. Good luck tomorrow.

Edit: I think what I wrote may look silly, but this is the point:
I look at games where the dog is getting more than 38 pts. and then start capping that game and see if I'm gonna add 10 or 10.5 pts.

FOUR outa 5 (80%) were straight, reg. posted line bet wieners. Congratulation Pro gamblers. The lines that I posted were exactly what they were when I wrote the post.

I luved bragging about my multiple sucker tickets going 100%; sure didn't happen this week though. Us sucker players took it on the chin and it took unfluckin BAD, TERRIBLE breaks on Sat's game to do it. ESP for this one (ME).

Comments just to wrap it up:
Played 3 teaser tickets early Sat. and one of them was for double $ than the other two. You know what team screwed that one up.

Changing my opinion on UCF because a team that could play a full quarter the way they played the 4th yesterday can forget playoffs. They weren't gonna get in the playoffs anyway due to their schedule and general opinions of them. They just hadda win the dang game to cash one of my teaser tickets.

The other team that gave me the ultimate screw job was in my final, late attempt to turn the day profitable. I know doing stuff like this isn't a good idea, but I was soo pissed I did.
It was a 3 team teaser on the 2 final games of the day and one NFLer and we all know the one that killed this one, right? OF COURSE, it was the one that almost made me turn off the TV with a smile on my face. You know, the one I had at -8 pts and was ahead be 32 FUCKING PTS. at the end of the 3rd quarter. And they even wound up losing the game to a team that that virtually had no offense in the games they previously played this season. Gotta feel sorry for the folks that got it up the ole ying-yang :s6: on this one who played the outrageous M.L. on Wash. St. The other two plays on that teaser was the Utah St. game UNDER and NFLer Minn.

Only good new I got is that the last outstanding teaser that only depended on my NFLer for this week (Minny) cashed and that helped. Still, finished in the day in the RED . I think even the "Pros" got burnt on that UCF game.

Now do you understand why you NEVER buy points? How much did that cost you? Buying 1 1/2 to go under 7 is not cheap. Must have cost you at least 30. Ask anyone who knows what they are doing. Ask many people in here. They will all tell you that buying points is a huge suckers play.
