Nobody is gonna go all the way back to see exactly what my record is and you can count me in the 'nobody" group. I go by the difference in the Bankaroo from the 1st game at the beginning of the season to today and to save viewers the effort, I can "tell" yas that it is healthy and ahead (not by a whole lot though, but enough), MOSTLY, thanks to that week that all but 1 or 2 of the plicks covered.
I gotta mention here that my method of handicapping is a little weird because approx. 90% of the effort goes toward finding FAVORITES that will cover. I got the Cruncher set up to evaluate the confidence level supporting the FAV. to cover. Then I look at it's highest ratings and go over those matchups and most importantly consider things/factors that the Cruncher doesn't use and then decide which ones to go with. The most important ones are injuries and home field advantage AND.. . from watching the games from prev. weeks. I also take a look at the lowest Cruncher ratings and sometimes, (make that -> RARELY), come up with an underdog team to cover.
I still have games to go over, but these are strong plays sez the No. Cruncher and I strongly agree with just about every one of them...
BTW, it liked Old Dominion + 10, EGAD! It spit out a minus rating for favored W. Kentucky to start off week 8! Egad! Yeah, I threw that Cruncher dog plick out.
Purdue -9 vs. Rutgers: sorry, going against my school again.
Toledo -16 vs. the Zippity Do Dahs.
Ok. St. -7 vs. Texas: Cruncher was luke warm on this one, blame me if thems Cowboys don't' get the job done.
Virginia - 5 vs. Bost. Col.
Cent. Fla -6 1/2 vs. Navy: current spread may be different, this one goes in a parlay and I accept less payout in return for getting that line where I want it and keeping the parlay alive.
NOT so MINI dog UPSETTER for this week
Iowa St. I'm way overdue to hit one of these MONEY LINE upsetters. Reg. line bet would be +7 1/2. I'll take +245 on this mutha jumpa.
I got more to go over and think there should be more to add.
