Nobody is gonna go all the way back to see exactly what my record is and you can count me in the 'nobody" group. I go by the difference in the Bankaroo from the 1st game at the beginning of the season to today and to save viewers the effort, I can "tell" yas that it is healthy and ahead (not by a whole lot though, but enough), MOSTLY, thanks to that week that all but 1 or 2 of the plicks covered.

I gotta mention here that my method of handicapping is a little weird because approx. 90% of the effort goes toward finding FAVORITES that will cover. I got the Cruncher set up to evaluate the confidence level supporting the FAV. to cover. Then I look at it's highest ratings and go over those matchups and most importantly consider things/factors that the Cruncher doesn't use and then decide which ones to go with. The most important ones are injuries and home field advantage AND.. . from watching the games from prev. weeks. I also take a look at the lowest Cruncher ratings and sometimes, (make that -> RARELY), come up with an underdog team to cover.

I still have games to go over, but these are strong plays sez the No. Cruncher and I strongly agree with just about every one of them...

BTW, it liked Old Dominion + 10, EGAD! It spit out a minus rating for favored W. Kentucky to start off week 8! Egad! Yeah, I threw that Cruncher dog plick out. :(

Purdue -9 vs. Rutgers: sorry, going against my school again.
Toledo -16 vs. the Zippity Do Dahs.
Ok. St. -7 vs. Texas: Cruncher was luke warm on this one, blame me if thems Cowboys don't' get the job done.

Virginia - 5 vs. Bost. Col.
Cent. Fla -6 1/2 vs. Navy: current spread may be different, this one goes in a parlay and I accept less payout in return for getting that line where I want it and keeping the parlay alive.

NOT so MINI dog UPSETTER for this week
Iowa St. I'm way overdue to hit one of these MONEY LINE upsetters. Reg. line bet would be +7 1/2. I'll take +245 on this mutha jumpa.

I got more to go over and think there should be more to add.

WTF?

WTF?

Turned on TV and got a headache. Rutgers beats Purdue, Ok. St. getting controlled by Texas! :cursin:

Feeling much better afte seeing the NOT SO MINI dog come through, big time, bet wise and game margin of covering wise. :0053

Taking a 7+ pt dog is something I almost never do, but I really liked that bet today and used it in a mid sized 2 teamer (losah) and a very decent single M.L. weiner.

Also, got on now to add another plick for today:

Utah ST. +3 : I bought the hook to make 3 1/2 cause I think this game will be close. This play was another luke warm Cruncher pick and I liked what I saw watching St. play this season.

I hope somebody went along with Doggie plick :)

I have to post this one

I have to post this one

Cent. Fla closed at -9 1/2. It wasn't anywhere near that when I betem, not even close. It opened at -7 1/2, and that is when I got them and bought the point. In fact, it actually moved to -7. After that last move it only headed in one direction and wound up at the close at -9 1/2. :scared

wrap up

wrap up

Let's see...

One reason I don't keep good tract of it here is cause, with the parlays, single plays, and different bet amounts, my personnel record is different and I don't even keep EXACT tract of it. Strange? Well, I just see how well the bankroll moves up and/or down. Another reason is that I don't know if any MJers besides Pd, Hammy, and TJ are checking it out and I keep posting for them and the hundreds of others(?). Some members post for VIEW count, I really don't care about that.

Maybe it's a good thing I don't get any replies if the MJers are just landing on my loosahs / :mj07: I hope that ain't the case though.

I've had luck with the "looking for favorites" thang, but I'm also noticing that dogs are being identified pretty good by checking out the Cruncher's "worstest" (esp. negative) nos. for teams with VERY low ratings. That would mean VERY little or reverse confidence that the FAVORITE can cover. I think I'll include posting a couple or few of them DOGGIE plicks.

This was a week that is easier to figure the "record for it...

With the added Utah St. weiner, I believe it's a mediocre 3 and 3. I would add 2 1/2 "points" for the "NOT SO MINI upsetter" Money Liner plick so that would make it 5 1/2 / 3. It would have been a losing or close to breakeven week if that one didn't click for me.

I forgot to post a winning UNDER (Cent. Fla/Navy), sorry bout that although it probably doesn't matter. That O/U number. 65, was ridiculous for two teams that lean mostly on ground game offenses, Central's improved rushing defense this year, and chances of rain was a no brainer. I believe both teams have so/so or worse QBs as well. I've seen Navy's.

That's it for this week, Visitors :)
