sweeping is important in curling, the top teams on good ice, like this can drag a rock 3-5 ft....the good teams let the sweepers help decide where the rock ends up...

never played the sport but it is very popular in small northern comunities, along with drinking.
did bet on the briar one year when Ferby won everything and made a nice profit...so I like Curling...of coarse would enjoy ant racing...if I could make a winning bet on it....
