Some weird traditions also happen on Easter, for example people in some districts in France believe that eating eggs on Easter is bad luck. Also on Slovakia and the Czech Republic, men spank women using a special whip and throw water at them.

I have gone to my best friend's house for the last few years. Unfortunately, he took his own life a few years ago just before Easter and I have spent it with his two daughters and widow since. I met both of them 23 years ago so we have been friends for a long time. Quite a few other friends and their families usually attend or come by. I eat until I am sick. :0008

This year is my ex-hubby's Holiday so instead of getting my kids tonight like normal I will get them in the am, they will spend Saturday night with me and Sunday morning. They will open their baskets and I will probably make pancakes. For lunch we are having roast beef, mashed taters, gravy, lima beans, and upsidedown pineapple cake. Their dad is going to pick them up for the rest of the day and then PaSprint is going to come over and we will :142hump:, watch whatever on tv, and snooze all afternoon.

Easter week over here. Started last Sunday. Mass on Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Tomorrow dinner with the best inlaws ever. Egg hunt and a great dinner and drinks. My contribution is goat cheese fundido receipe that I got from Bobby Flays Mesa Grill.

Easter Sunday the rabbit comes to our house then 9:30 mass then dinner in Green Bay with my side. Ham and all of the fixings.

Most important holiday of year. What are you guys celebrating?

Good plan, you get the beef and he gets to stuff the bird. Then you can both have your cake and eat it too.

You have to appreciate a good plan.

My kids are grown and do not live here, will smoke a couple racks of Ribs for my wife and I & Step kids, 17 & 14 . Probably take in a movie at the theatre while ribs are smoking. Pretty low key :0008

Had Gallbladder taken out a couple days ago, feel great :00hour

Probably have a few cold ones to wash down the ribs :toast:

Sounds perfect. My gall bladder got ripped out a few years ago. I hope all is well.
