I have two healthy kids, a great family, and enjoy the shit out of grilling, drinking beer, and watching football in the fall. That makes me feel rich, not how big my dick, ugh I mean house is.

agreed.. cant believe I responded to it.. But hedge thinking he is Donald Trump.. couldnt let it go.. Sadly:facepalm:

sorry, I have nothing against you, but your post along with hedge's was the reason for my post.

again, don't mean to lump you in with HedgeHog, as lord knows I would not wish that comparison to my worst enemy.

I really like what HH and hedman said in their posts.

You and I have a very different idea of being rich I guess. You may make a decent living and good for you. But I would not consider you wealthy.

For one thing you still work. Even though you may make a decent salary. A truely rich person can live any life style they choose and not have to work. Maybe if you were a CEO but I dont believe that to be the case.

Second 3,000 sq ft home in the state of Tx is not very big. Mines brand new and 3,700 and I can tell you I aint rich. The cost of homes here is peanutes compared to say SD or NYC and their is so much availabe real estate. Big square footage is very common. Your house could fit in my parents living room.

2009 ford? Call me when you are driving a brand new jag.. Paid in full then we can talk about rich.

My buddy Nate for instance went harvard. Worked on wall street for 10 yrs. Came back here and worked for Jerry Jones as an investment banker for 3 yrs. His salary was 400,000 plus or something ridiculous like that...
He is now retired at the tender age of 36. He paid cash for his condo in uptown. (he wont tell me how much) He paid cash for his 100,000 dollar car. Not to mention a cabin in CO and his boat. Just got back from his wedding in Vail a few weeks ago. You wouldnt believe the spread..He my friend is rich. :toast:

I CAN AFFORD ANYTHING I WANT

I have NO DEBT, GOOD JOB, HOUSE, CAR EVERYTHING IS PAID FOR IN FULL

Rich means different things to different people.

It is an ethereal word.

Much like 'fair'.

Personally, I don't think one can put a price tag on peace of mind or health.

In that regard, I am wealthy beyond all means.

Healthy kids, healthy wife and family, secure in my beliefs and feelings that I am having a positive impact on the lives' of the people around me.

The material stuff, while nice, is relatively immaterial to me. It can make life easier or more enjoyable but it is easy to get caught in the rat-race of it all.

to me rich means financially nothing to do with emotional well being, just literal meaning of rich or wealthy, maybe wealthy is a better term
