Why does everyone call for the stiff penalty? I would think everyone on here would realize that when this boys father comes home from work and finds out he hit a teacher he will surely be severely reprimanded. :facepalm:

i'm fairly sure the parental involvement up till now contributed to this kid being an asshole

Because when you listen to the news reporter say that the kid throwing the punch was also being charged with a probation violation it leads you to believe that he has been in trouble before, and now obviously continues to be a nuisance to society... and any "lessons" being taught at home clearly aren't working.

Seriously, I think they should be charged as juveniles if they are juveniles. It's a failure of their parents and the justice system and of course the kid. Charging a 15 year old as an adult doesn't accomplish anything. Hell, Derrick Morgan was just as bad, and he ended up in the BAU. Anything can happen. I sound like a flaming liberal here :sadwave: not sure why, but that's my opinion. :box2:

It's government housing apartments, and that seems a tad harsh on the punishment.
