Hello.
I am interested in 2012, notably - the Mayan prophecy about the end of the world 12.21.2012. Many people talk about it now, besides, the movie comes out soon. I'm interested to read something about it. Disclosing this theme.
Advise me some articles please.

Thank you

In 2012 I can tell you with 100% certainty that I will have a 5 team parlay and will lose the 5th game. In fact that will happen more then once.

Screw the Mayan prophecy, it is the gambling gods that you should be worried about:mj07:

Great, now I have *THIS* to worry about now...

I'm guessing a week's vacation in December 2012 on the Riviera Maya could be had a good price, maybe I'll book early.

Pick up a book called Apocalypse: 2012 by Lawrence E. Joseph. Very interesting read on the topic.

I think gravity will reverse on that day and we will all go falling up into the sky. Unless you are in a cave or hanging onto a tree. I will be in cave with a stockpile of burritos, beer and a few books I have been meaning to read. And maybe Heather Locklear.

Above the Clouds....
I've been to the pyramids and ruins at Chichen Itza. Makes you wonder about times long ago.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
the Maya 2012 "prediction" is buncha New Age money-making hooey, based on a very faulty understanding of the the Mayan Long Count Calendar, and Mayan culture.

You won't find any actual Mayanist scholars who think there is anything to the 2012 prediction.

Wiki has a good writeup on it:

"The idea of a global event occurring in 2012 based on any interpretation of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is rejected as pseudoscience by the scientific community, and as misrepresentative of Maya history by Mayanist scholars."

I posted that after seeing he posted the same exact thing 3 times and figuring he was just another dumb spammer. Then I didn't see any links or motivation and posted that too. weird... he has to have some sort of motivation for hit and run posting like that in 3 different forums.

Plenty of people in the Tunney camp are big fans of the Long Count Calendar.
