It should be OSU -7 & 48

If UM/UF met up neutral site that game would be UM -2.5 over UF

I still think UF is a better team than both of em.

First we dont "know" that OSU would be -4 v Michigan..my guess is that is light as OSU was a clearly superior team.

OSU is certainly at least -7 v Florida. Good grief USC was -7 last year and last I checked Vince isnt playing for Florida.

Lets break it down logically-

OSU was at home against Mich and laying 6.5. That means, if that game was at a neutral site, OSU would be laying 3 or 3.5. They pounded Michigan, so now, at a neutral field, the spread will be a MINIMUM of 7 with 10 more likely, IMO.

And a title game is always a different sort of spread....look at the Super Bowl is the number EVER what it would be in a regular season game at somebody's home field?

I noticed this too, does anyone know the psychology behind making it an even 3,7,10 etc... on big games?

I would assume it's because people have a predisposition to play the favorites...and you have SO MANY people that dont usually bet, betting on the game...and one would assume they would bet the favorite.

Therefore, to even it out, they need to put "value" or "alleged value" on the dog to even it out.

Like I said, 7.5. This has all the makings of a shitkicking, and this is coming from a huge underdog player.
