Just so happens I have had the opportunity to see the faces of some of my former teachers over the years and to say the least some are quite surprised I have "made" anything of myself. I will say though that my experience as a shitass high schooler has helped me deal with shitass high schoolers. You just never know about people, much less what a few years will or wont do for em.

I grew up extremely poor and worked on a farm to help my mother pay the bills. I do not have fond memories of school days. I did just enough to graduate as I worked in a canning factory in the winter and the farm during summer. So.....with that said, they probably would be surprised as to how I have turned out. No teacher took a vested interest in whether or not I excelled at anything. Guess they were a bad group back then. I hear about positive influences from teachers , yet , did not experience it myself.
I ran into my high school baseball coach one night at a sportsbar when I was drunk, I offered to buy him a beer...he asked me who I bet on in the game:142smilie
