Going to the Chiefs game Saturday, heading to Des Moines Sunday.

My son's wife had our grandson today!! 8 lbs 12 oz, big boy. The doctor's decided to let her go full term, and he is in perfect health.

We wish we could say that about mother. As some of you know, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer 4 weeks ago. Once she has recovered from the birth, further diagnosis and treatment lay ahead.

It's wearing on all of us, but great news today. We need to count the positives one day at a time.

Merry Christmas to all.

I will be glad to drive to see my family in Louisville, KY after having been without power for the last week, do to a major ice storm coming through...Worst One Ever according to the Power Companies around here. Anyway, have a lot to be thankful for after having great friends that took us in for days, and the power finally coming back on a few hours ago.

Merry Christmas Everyone! :mj14:

Doing all my shopping last minute on Christmas Eve...Family and friends come over for X-mas Eve dinner...End up playing Eucher and getting loaded and then attempting to wrap my last minute gifts...which usually my girlfriend takes pitty on my wrapping job and then does it for me...Waking up way too early on X-mas day to do the gifts and then relaxing and eating the rest of the day!
Everyone have a happy holiday and safe trips to where ever you may be going!

Heading out this morning for Oklahoma to spend Chistmas with the family. Going to try to get to KC tonight and watch the Bowl game at the hotel bar with a few cocktails. Got about a 10 hour drive today, then on to OK Thursday.

Have 20 family and friends coming over for Christmas Eve dinner, and for the first time going to try a Turducken from Cajun Meat Company here in Atlanta. Anyone had one? Then heading to the airport after kids open gifts Sunday and fly with the kids to Sarasota to be with Mom and Sister for the week, hopefully warming out on the beach and not chilling. Hoping to see some sights, since I am a single Dad with custody and need some excitement again. Maybe call Fatdaddy in between 9 holes. Merry Christmas Jack!

And well theres the thing with not being able to see black people, which rules out pretty much every sporting event except for hockey. Hey, BTJ would love this TV!! :mj04:

My in-laws travel for the holidays.

This year we are going to Miami. We will be going to the Dolphins/Titans game.

I will be staying at the Hard Rock Seminole. Nothing says Merry Christmas like pocket Aces. :)

The holidays this year will probably be "the suck". It will be the first time I have been away from the relatives for the holidays. Family is all +4 hours away and, with an extruded disk awaiting surgery on Jan. 4, long distance travel is pretty much out of the question for me. I'm not able to drive and the disability checks haven't started coming yet, so I won't be giving many gifts. I'll probably just kick back with the SO, pop an extra Vicodin or two and watch the lights on the Christmas tree.

I do give thanks for our heroes in Iraq though. Here I am wallowing in my self pity while others are also separated from their families. At least I don't have to keep my head down and avoid being shot!

Jack, please send my best wishes to your mom and sis and the rest of your family and have a shot or two for me! Merry Christmas!

24th going to my sister's house for a Christmas Eve/My Birthday celebration with one half of the extended family open/exchange presents. Then staying at my parent's house where we started a tradition with my little guy of staying at the grandparents place waiting for Santa to come.

Christmas day, wake up the little guy for the Santa presents under the tree, nice breakfast and then get ready to go to Aunt's house this year for Big Chistmas Day Dinner (Traditional Turkey and Ham) and present opening/exchange with other half of extended family. (I have a large relatively close knit extended family!)

Couple days later, we head on down to LaCrosse, WI usually by train (great way to travel along the river with a little one, especially with observation car, entertainment car, snack car, and diner car) celebrate with wife's side of the family and then back up to MPLS.

New Year's eve, we traditionally stay at a hotel with family and play games and sit in jacuzzi's and pool. If you haven't done this it is very entertaining for all. Typically stay at like a StayBridge Suites, with great amenities. Never sold out (most longer term business travelers are home for the holidays, and the service is awesome!)

Happy Holidays to ALL..even Kosar!
