to do about 5 hours of yard grading?

20 years ago I paid a guy $40 an hour but I imagine the price is higher now. Anybody know?

Probably about $75-100 hr. On the higher end of that you'll get a guy with a better machine so you may want to take that into consideration when thinking about the job (at least that's what I found).

You could always rent the Bobcat for much less and do the work yourself. I looked into this myself not long ago.

Hope you get a good deal and find what you're looking for.

Lawn Care Biz could probably point you in the right direction.....

I have 2 guys coming to look so I should be good. The guy last night wanted $750 but I know it's about 5 hours max and that's too high.

Thanks. :0008

Our areas should be comparable. $80-100 and hour for dozer work, and $50-75 and hour for Bobcat work.

Yep, that's what it's looking like so this guy wanting $750 for the job can go find something else to do that day.

Actually this ain't a bad price....if it was a 3-4 day job...then $50-$60 p/hr would be fair...but to load up a machine, drive across town , unload for a few hours work...the hourly rate wouldn't cut it.
