my best was denver at ravens playoff on new years eve during ravens superbowl year.

my season tix were 45 yd line upper deck. not bad seats but it was a damn cold day so me and my son went early in the hopes of trading our tix for better ones.

we found a scalper that sold us CLUB LEVEL on the 50 yd line, right under the broadcast booth, for our tix and $250. CLUB LEVEL seats in baltimore are inside and first class everything. carpeted, sit down bars, gourmet food, non crowded bathrooms that are clean and not 50 feet from our seats. everything luxury!

ravens kicked ass on their way to superbowl champions. i lost my voice for about 10 days from all the yelling.

thee best time at a sporting event i ever attended.

I was at the old Atlanta Stadium when Hank Aaron hit #715 to pass the Babe. I still have the ticket stub.

I have two favorites.

First one was the 2nd to last game at Three Rivers Stadium when the Steelers played the Raiders. Steelers were not that good that year and the place was rocking. Kordell got hurt late in the 2nd quarter and came back and had maybe his best game ever. Never seen a stadium shake like this before and the noise level was unreal. Still cannot believe they knocked this place down. Should have kept it for the Steelers only.

Second, was about 8 or 9 years ago. Do not remember the date. The Bucs played the Astros I think. Damn cannot remember that either and I love the Bucs the most out of the Pittsburgh teams. Cordova and Rincon combined for a 10 inning no-hitter and Mark Smith hit a 3 run homer in the bot 10 to win 3-0. It was a Saturday sellout and that place was rocking.

hmmm, I guess when Western Kentucky made it to the sweet 16 in '93. Played at Orlando, and as a #15 seed, we beat Seton Hall then Penny and his Memphis State Tigers. Pretty exciting for a hick like me. I've seen some pretty good Reds games, but nothing that exciting. Missed Tom Browning's perfect game by a couple of starts. Always enjoyed seeing Fernando Valenzuela in person.

Somewhere in Corn Country
October 19, 1985, Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, Iowa.

#1 Iowa Vs #2 Michigan. Hayden Fry and Bo Schembechler stalking the sidelines. Chuck Long at QB for Iowa, and a bunch of no-bodies on the Michigan squad..:mj07:

Tight, hard fought battle that day and I don't think I've ever been in a more electric atmosphere at a sporting event. It was a late afternoon kickoff, and we tailgated from 7 AM--I was a Junior at the U of I at time--
Iowa gets the ball with not much time left on the clock, down 10-9. The Hawkeyes move the ball down the field and with 3 seconds showing on the clock, Rob Houghlin kicks his 4 FG of the game for the 12-10 Iowa victory.

I was in Orlando on Jan 1, 2005 for the last second Iowa win over LSU in the Capital One bowl--and while that was quite exciting, it still doesn't compare to that fall day in '85...

Game 7 of 1982 World Series, Bush Stadium Cards beat the Brew crew, was working in radio at the time, and was on the field and in the Cardinals club house, by far the best.

Peace

nolan ryan striking out rickey henderson for his 5000th strikeout. Arlington, Tx.

henderson actually asked for the ball.
"Rickey thought that ball might be worth something one day."

nolan just wants a ball but has to wait the 15 minutes while the standing O goes on.

My favorite live moment

1979 Michigan St at Wisconsin college basketball game

Last game of the regular season Wisconsin upsets the soon to be national champs on a last second shot by Wes Matthews.

i don't think anyone came within double digits of the Spartans in the entire tourney.

1982 Icehockey World Championships (Helsinki, Finland)

Canada VS USSR

Real old time "hate" hockey, russians had one of their best teams ever :

Vladislav Tretiak, Vladimir Myshkin; Aleksei Kasatonov, Vyacheslav Fetisov, Vasili Pervukhin, Valeri Vasiliev, Sergei Babinov, Sergei Makarov, Vladimir Krutov, Viktor Zhluktov, Andrey Khomutov, Sergei Kapustin, Igor Larionov

Team Canada had players like Gretzky, Clarke, Gartner, Hawerchuk etc.

All-Star team : Jiri Kralik (USSR); Vyatcheslav Fetisov (USSR), Alexei Kasatonov (USSR); Bill Barber (Canada), Wayne Gretzky (Canada), Sergei Makarov (USSR).

Punt Bama Punt...Alabama leading Auburn 16-3 late in the game when Bill Newton blocked 2 Bama punts and David Langner returned them both for touchdowns. Auburn won 17-16. Awesome day for a 14 year old kid.
