I'm in prague right now. So far so good, Thursday night at 8:15 and getting pretty shit faced. Lots of fun though. Walked through old town sq, and over the charles bridge today. Had a nice lunch today as well in downtown prague. I've been drinikng a lot of wine. The scenery is beautiful. I went to a few casinos and got a few drinks and broke about even.

I'll take some more time out to post again tomorrow and hopefully I'll have some more pics soon, not many now. Best of luck to all my Madjack friends in this special Holiday Season:) Hope all is well.

Do they Czech women bleach blond their hair in the homeland as they do here in Chicago?

We have a few Czech places here. Those women that swim over to here are fine as hell but they smoke like chimneys.

Happy Holidays

some pics to show where he is ...

enjoy my man...you are very very lucky to see part of the world that most United States citizens only see through the lens of a camera.

Your travels make you wise beyond your years...how truly lucky you are.

Hradčany, the Castle District, is the Prague district surrounding the Prague Castle.

The castle is said to be the biggest castle in the world at about 570 meters length and an average of about 130 meters wide. Its history stretches back to the 8th century. The St Vitus Cathedral is located in the castle area.

Hradčany was an independent borough until 1784, when the four independent boroughs that had formerly constituted Prague were proclaimed a single city. The other three were Lesser Quarter, Old Town and New Town. (c)wikipedia

Prague Castle is the most popular sight visited in Prague. It is the largest ancient castle in the world (570 m long, on average 128 m wide, area 7.28 hectares).
Constructed in the 9th century by Prince Borzhivoj, the castle transformed itself from a wooden fortress surrounded by earthen bulwarks to the imposing form it has today. Rulers made their own additions so there is a mixture of styles. Prague castle has had four major reconstructions, but it keeps its classical facelift it took on in the 18 century during the reign of Maria Theresa. The castle has three courtyards and it has always been the seat of Czech rulers as well as the official residence. (c)prague.cz

Originally a horse market, it got its present name in the mid-19th century. The Wenceslas Square is the main centre of modern Prague surrounded by shops, cinemas, office blocks, hotels, restaurants and cafes. The 750 m long and 60 m wide square has been the scene of a great deal of Czech history. In 1969 a university student Jan Palach burnt himself to death in protest against the Warsaw Pact invasion and in November 1989 protest meetings against police brutality were held here and led to the Velvet Revolution and the end of communism in Czechoslovakia. In the middle of the square is a monument of St Wenceslas on a horse accompanied with sculptures of four Czech patron saints. (c)prague.cz

I told you I didn't drink all the Pilsner Urquell while in Prague last May, Jon, guess you didn't believe me...:mj07:

Just got my a$$ handed to me in a game of chess by my 9 year old nephew here in San Francisco. He's mad at me because I won't let him kick me while I'm down...

Jumping on a plane in the AM for a long day of plane rides to San Antonio to go watch my Hawkeyes get killed by the longhorns on Saturday...

Gotta love the suckers that have driven the line down under 10 points....

Happy New Year to all....
Stayed in a really cool small hotel not 500 feet from Saint Wenceslas Square--and those 'theaters' they mention? All adult--Wenceslas Square is a bit seedy these days--
Ironic thing about that last pic that Old School posted is that if you sit down at that resturant/bar seen in the far right corner of the pic(Old Town Square)it will cost you at least 5 USD for a small cup of coffee or bottle of water and 8 or more for a beer--I did it this spring while watching the finish of the Prague Marathon. And, yes, many beggars on the streets of Prague and other European cities will spend hours in that position hoping for many hand-outs from the passers-by, and they usually receive quite a bit of money....
