I had a Rotweiller for 11 years, He never had a collar or a leash on him. I took him with me all over the US. Off leash from the day he was born till the day he died.Never 1 incident. Obeyed commands instantly.
There are Right Wing loonies on this site that should be leashed and muzzled...............and i wd be glad to perform that service.

I go to the dog park with my dog and it is soooooo obvious that all the pit bull/rotteilers are owned by black dudes.

Not one white/hispanic/chinese dude out there with a pit bull or rotteiler......

I don't know if it's the town I live in or if it's everywhere.

Just an observation................

Wow, this early in the thread and we've gotten into breedism, racism and classism, all over a dog attacking a baby! It doesn't matter whether this was a Rottweiler or a St. Bernard. Plain and simple, you don't leave a 7 month old baby in the presence of any dog unattended. DUH!

I have had a Rottie for many years and he was the most friendly dog. Any dog will be aggressive if miss treated. Kick a poodle every day for 3 months and see what happens to it.

I think its all about how owners treat their animals, but you will never read about a poodle attach in the paper because its not news worthy.I Think its more bad owners then bad dogs.
