I beleive Worm...

I believe for every drop of rain that falls...
a flower grows

I believe that somewhere in the darkest night...
a candle glows

I believe for everyone who goes astray someone will come to show the way...
I believe, I believe

I believe above the storm the smallest prayer will still be heard

I believe that someone in the great somewhere hears every word

Every time I hear a newborn baby cry...
or touch a leaf...
or see the sky...

Then I know why...

I believe

lucky dog...

how would you feel if somebody made a $500 bet with you & then stiffed you ?

would you accept it ?

would you forgive that person if he didn't pay ?

where i come from a person's word is very important...if you don't keep your word you have nothing...as far as i'm concerned when you make a bet with somebody you are giving your word that you will pay if you lose.....men keep their word....little children do not.

AR -- I have to ask, based on this post, why you don't feel the same way about Vyrus. Almost three years later and he's still stiffing TwoFingers. It's less money, but the principle still applies.

i got tired of reading the thread started by vyrus, did he agree to pay an old debt?

TwoFingers asked him again about it today -- this was his response:

GET THE FAWK OUT OF MY THREAD OLD MAN, THIS iS A SPORTS FORUM..YOU, TWO FINGERS, and everyone else...if I DECIDE to go through with my friendly gesture and pay I will, if not get the FAWK OUT OF MY FOOTBALL THREAD

Guy is a class act all around. Acts like he's doing charity to pay up a three year old debt.

blackman...

your 100% correct...maybe because i know jack & i don't know 2 fingers...i also don't know the particulars of why vyrus owes 2 fingers the money.

but vyrus should pay the $50 if he owes it to him.

i don' like people who don't pay gambling debts....we're gamblers here...it's simple you lose you pay.....

Totally understand, and agree 100% with your last statement.

Since I won that contest and TwoFingers was stiffed doing a personal favor for some of us running it, I find it offensive.

Not looking to call you out by any means, just was curious since you have a clear stance on the Worm situation. Thanks for clearing it up, makes sense to me.

Sure, this is how I remember it at least.

TwoFingers organized a contest for the forum during the 2004 NCAA Tournament, probably 50 forum members or so played, just filled out our brackets at the first few places won a prize based on the pooled money.

Ten dollars an entry, Vyrus made three seperate entries.

Fast forward to the end of the tournament -- I do not know the specfics but Vyrus' check bounces/paypal payment (don't remember the form of payment) does not come through, and TwoFingers is out the 30 for the prize pool and gets nailed on some service charges over the hassel. What appears to be an honest mistake turns nasty, Vyrus twists is that we are all deadbeats and the money means nothing to him, says many disrepectful things about TwoFingers and his family, and the money is never paid.

He disappears for a while, hopes it will blow over, then when he comes back tries to act like we are all crazy and he doesn't owe TwoFingers a penny.
A few weeks ago he finally agreed to make good, but the song and dances are starting up again. Now he can't make any Neteller transactions or something that seems like a weak excuse. Couple that with more threats and mudslinging about the character of our forum members, and here we are.

I apologize if I left any details out, I'm sure TwoFingers can fill in any gaps.

So. Cal
I say anybody that doesnt make good on a bet gets banned, pretty simple. As gamblers I really think we have a crystal clean reputation for making good on ANY bet. Just read anything by all the big money old timers of the crazy tales of the bets that went on, but they all got paid, and if they didnt well they were dead.

Anyways like i said gamblers are very well respected amongst gamblers, it is the scumbags like vyrus and worm and other guys that dont pay up that give gamblers bad names and an untrustworthy rep to the public. I will trust a gamblers word over ANY salesman, and alot of other "honest" professions.

Now Scumbags on the other hand.....

Oh and jack i thought this was a forum for gamblers to come together, not for us to put up with dramaqueen scumbags. Why not ban vyrus?
