I have ALWAYS (except for 1 time) stayed in French Quarter---Royal Sonesta)--not cheap BUT nice, safe, conv. to all things---Sonesta is on the corner of Bourbon and Conti -streets--short walk to Pat O'Brien's etc.--Oh, and listen to the Judge, Mother's is great--big with "the locals)

try the restaurant called..."court of 2 sisters"...the best buffet that you will ever eat....& a dixieland band for atmosphere..

any of the Brennan restaurants, either of Emirils restaurants or KPauls and got to stop in Acme Oyster House. Commanders Palace is very expensive but the best Sunday brunch in America

I used to always stay here

One block off bourbon street in the heart of the quarter and a beautiful historic hotel:00hour

I will be there most days both weekends. If you decide to make it down, I'd be happy to meet up with you. Hopefully, you convince Al to come down as well.

First few rounds are on me:toast:
