glad to see dallas finally get a good o line no thanks to jerry dallas d plays with heart and not a lot of talent; they will get exposed in the playoffs not a lot of pressure from front and secondary is below average admire their effort/nobody plays harder Dallas's coordinators have made the difference this year head coach is a puss which is what you have to be to coach for jerry makes me sick dez Bryant is a freaking beast

Pool player comes in calls the guy stupid then ice gets mad and gives bad rep for a fuckface retort? Classic, pool player is good for that. Romo is havering a great season. Cool beans but Rodgers is your mvp

I noticed in my small sample that he gets a clean pocket and always seems to have a plethora of open targets. Of course , both times i watched dallas were huge blowouts vs lowly saints and colts today. Maybe the pocket isn't as clean vs quality foes? We will see in 3 weeks:)

For the record, i think romo has been fantastic all year.....better then fantastic at times......

But i have always thought he has been a good regular season guy for 8-10 wins....thats never been an issue....

I just got home but wanted livin to understand all i was saying....

I dont know if it means im a "hater"...but I just never felt like romo was a qb who could win crucial/playyoff type games....

Not much has changed my opinion....if we are just celebrating his good season and playoff birth then heck ya he deserves it....

But most people never argued his good stats or regular seasons.....it was always his crucial mistakes in big games....always throws that int or forces a turnover somehow it seems....

So when you said "where ya all at" i just simply meant nothing has changed in my mind....

Like i said earlier, if he wins some playoff games and a title ill be a true believer...and i dont see why he cant take that step....every QB good or great, besides russ wilson and kapernick just recent, will have growing pains before January football games can be won

But again, if we are just celebrating the season already then cool cowboy fans deserve it after jerry ruined the franchise for 15 years ....im a pirates fan so I understand misery for year after year....

I again think he has been electric this season....said that in previous posts in this thread.....and would be top 3 MVP choice if he didnt have Demarco....to me that hurts his chances having some argue he isnt even MVP on his team....that running game finally getting going was the key....we have seen romo cant do what peyton/brady/rodgers can do which is win without a balanced offense....he needs demarco as demarco needs him.....

Anyways actually hope cowboys make some noise, otherwise this thread will def. Be reopned if they lose the wild card game.....

Packers vs seattle most likely with how they playing now but being able to run like dallas can they should never be out of a game so who knows. .....

And i know they already won in seattle, but we all know the super bowl hangover is gone and seattle is a different team now. ....

Should be fun

Of course i called him stupid....Talks shit about the cowboys and Romo who have won ZERO in last 20 years.. When they actually win 2 playoff games come tell me how good they are but till then we don't want to hear about it. Come on purple.....U r the king in here of being a hater..It's more of your team sucks but you feel better ripping the best franchise in sports. GB wins the divison next week..they play Seattle in NFC title game and lose 24-13...Disappointing yes but a hell of a season. Minny well back to the drawing board to try and get to .500 season next year

fuck fac, I mean poolplaya--damn it did it again

where in the fuck did i talk shit? Did I say the fkn cows are the best fkn team in the league? Did I say Romo is afkn god? Did i say don't look at previous years? Did I say all other teams must now bow down to the cows?

All I asked were where the haters are? And then Old Scohol provided factual data that suggests he's been pretty good this year. His fkn QBR this year is #1 this year after yesterday. Everyone wants to kncok the guy bc hes never won a big game or throws ints. This December has been different, so no one says shit. Hes 3-0 with 10 tds vs 0 ints.

Nice work Romo, hope it continues.

The dude has balled out all year basically hurt. Holy f people, try to read the words, not into the words.

My bad, I guess Im the first mfer who has ever brought up a team question in the handicapping forum?

Did I attack anyone before called "stupid?" Nope--Happy Holidays

all good Addict, I appreciate your insight. Funny, how most can't have differing opinions without bashing.

I'm not saying you have to agree or you're an idiot. Just giving some props this year bc in the past he hasnt lived up to the challenge.

A big part of it is he has a supporting cast. Another big part is the team dynamics and culture have changed. Everyone who wears the star earns it. Name 5 guys on the defense side of the ball?

Most can't. They arent talented on that side of the ball but they fkn play hard and play as a team. The o-line is crushing it bc theyve spent the last 3 yrs spending 1st rd picks to bolster it.

These are the biggest reasons they are where they are at. Ive said a few times already I didnt expect this at all. But now its week 16 and I think theres enough evidence to say the guy has played at a high level all season. It isnt just bc of him but evidenty the past 9 seasons he was the sole reason they sucked. :popcorn2

Yea i def. Think he played a big part in their struggles of winning the "big/crucial games"....prone to mistakes in those key situations.

But as far as regular season and low key games no he was not soley responsible for losses in the least.....lots of problems....dysfunctional locker room.....and he was brilliant at times regardless....

Again, my only knock are the primetime big games that he doesnt have on his resume....no different then peyton manning early on....he struggled in big situations early in career.......

Russ wilson/kap are rare cases of young/inexperienced guys who win in post season...romo had a lot to learn and it looks like he is ready to at least attempt to win some playoff games...

Hope they do well....cowher or gruden in dallas and they win a title now.....garrett may but i dont see him as that caliber of coach

I think you have a reading problem, I did not think he was talking shit at all. He just asked where are the haters. You come through my threads and only say anything when I pick against the pack ATS. Fuck I had them as my biggest play of year yesterday yet nothing. You call me a hater and how many times have I been right with the Packers Ats this season? I think I missed once. Now as the Vikings go should I bring out the same old packer bs every year about injuries. I think the Vikes also lost the best rb in the planet, their O line decimated and half the defense was out come second half yesterday. This year was a successful season, they got their QB and they have a lot of young defensive players to build around, with about 30 mill on cap space. They are close

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Living in Oklahoma, we are force fed cowboy games on network week in week out.

My take on Romo is that due to Jerry Jones ( whom in his advanced years is turning physically into Jabba the hutt from star wars) and his horrible picks of players and coaching staff, had to win it pretty much on his own.
Romo's history of bad decisions and intercepts are near legend.

Jerry should have swallowed his ego, and buried the hatchet with Jimmy Johnson.

Now Romo has a very solid offensive line, running game and a solid receiver corp, decent coaching staff, lets see what he can do in the play-offs.

I think possibly behind the scenes, Jerry's unheralded son Stephen, who is over-shadowed by dad, is making more and more of the player personnel decisions, he may actually have a clue.

I personally see Seattle peaking and repeating.

I think there is something to be said for a guy who is constantly beat up by the media, fans, etc and still being able to produce with the injuries he has sustained. After what he has gone through in the last year - you can question his playoff failures, bad decisions, etc. The one thing you cannot question is his toughness.

I have had a love/hate relationship with Romo since he came on the scene. However, two back surgeries and two chipped vertebrae later, it is very hard not to at the very least have respect for him. The man gets a 20-30 minute injection before every game and still risks major injury every week. If they lose, he takes the blame and if they win, it is a team effort. That is the definition of a leader and a man. Do I think the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl? Probably not, but my respect for Romo would not be higher regardless.

they at least have a clue now..

no team can be successful without a good QB...and then yearly turnover has killed progress for the entire team.

you can almost bet your last dollar that the last 4 teams standing with have good or better QB .

just think how good you would be w/Romo
