i was a salesman for many years and can understand the need for gps. otherwise, i do not understand.

i've had onstar for about 8 years and never really needed it. been meaning to cancel it for a long time now. i think they bill me yearly.

who knows, they're toast.

Don't do it. You NEED Onstar. Without OnStar you will end up driving in circles or crashing into a tree.

Note - I am not just saying this because I work on the OnStar account and with as bad as GM is right now, I want to keep my job so we need to keep customers

what do YOU need it for?

For the next hurricane that decides to come visit. My parents live in Tyler 225 miles north and it sure would have been nice to know the back roads. We have a back roads of Texas map now to keep in the car. My wife works for Childrens Protective Services and is always using a key map to find her clients, so we thought we would get one, but have not yet.

sounds like a good Christmas gift;)
