Mitt Romney

I do my best to not watch "news", so I have to admit that I have never heard the name, Tom Tancredo.

100% Theoretical candidate then

74% Duncan Hunter (I don't even know who this is, but I think I like him based on the link of his views)

Tancredo is like a nasty word to people in my area of Colorado. He won't make the Republican nomination anyway, but he is a white-elitist loser, in my humble opinion.

I won't post my list of Presidential candidates, I wouldn't want to reveal myself for the flaming liberal that everyone in the political forum already thinks I am.

Well, since I am a pacifist and supporter of individual liberties, I guess it is really no surprise who my top candidate is:

Winner: Dennis Kucinich (91%)

War authorization: One of the few in Congress to vote against the Iraq War authorization. Consistently criticizes Bush's management of the war.

Security/liberties: Consistently voted against the PATRIOT Act.

Capital punishment: He would eliminate the use of the death penalty for federal crimes.

Runner up: Barack Obama (87%)

I guess I'm probably one of the only people on this board to have Kucinich on my list, much less on the top

I put a high priority on public appearance (i.e. communication skills, acting Presidential, etc.) which would skew my numbers up and down for these. For instance, after watching and listening to Dodd, I would have a hard time voting for him if I had to. Also hoping I don't have to look at Gore as a choice again, and I just don't get jazzed about Kucinich as a "main person" to represent the country, although I respect his views and professionalism a great deal. I've always been interested in what Biden brings to the table, but don't think he will ever grab broad public appeal. Still leaning towards Clinton at this point, I think. Just can't feel strongly for Obama or Edwards, but could vote for them if they were the candidate - at least for now.
