I am a Nam vet. I was spit on when I came back to the states. We could have won that war anytime we wanted if we just dropped the bomb. The government didn't want to because we would kill many children and women and look bad to the world. We were to soft hearted. I'm not saying that was bad but we lost and the people we were fighting for, are now under their rule. We have already pulled our troops out of a major city in Iraq and it's now full of bad guy's. I just don't see how we can beat these crazy people who care nothing about life, family, and they are not afraid of death. I understand they are only 30,000 or so rebels compared to the millions who want freedom. The problem is, the 30,000 or so are wrapped within the millions who want their freedom. How do we ever get to rebels without hurting or killing the millions, who want their freedom? Who can help, Bush or Kerry? I personally feel we can never defeat the terrorist completely but we can curtail their activities.
