I don't get ANY enjoyment over that at all.

Plus all the other shit she has to decorate the house with that has to be lugged up from the basement. UGH!

THEN, half the shit doesn't work until all kinds of adjustments are made and bulbs replaced.

i set it up then went to bed and woke up to a decorated tree by the lady...not a bad deal

Gonna do it Sunday while trying to watch the games. It's a six hour ordeal every year. The only thing good about it is we always order pizza. I don't get involved in the take down to busy watching the bowl games.

Just put my lights up last night....................Got tired of the bitching so I put the ladder up to the roof. Took the box of mangled ass twisted friggin lights that the GF somehow unbelievably believed I was going to test and unwind for some stupid reason. Crawled up on the roof with two extension cords turned that friggin box upside down. Lights are now in the same heap that they hit the roof in only now they are plugged in. Some work, some don't, some flash some don't and I couldn't give a rats ass. Its a test of wills now. I imagine they will probably come down before Christmas as she has to know that I am not doing another fuhkin thing with them except pack them back into the same box they stayed in for the last marriage.................or two.

Mine's up... a simple extension cord threaded up through the center - no lights, not a bit of tinsel, not an ornament on it.

I declare a return to the simpler things in life! I think I'll call it an imagination tree. You can imagine it decorated however you like and it won't disappoint anyone. It's a perfect tree for a lazyassed grinch like me - easy up, easy down (and it won't look totally ridiculous if I leave it up until SuperBowl!) Hell, who knows? Maybe I'll stick some fake birds in it and leave it up until spring!

My wife loves to decorate, she has the tree looking like a Macy's Christmas store tree every year. She is amazing.

She had all the decorations up very early this year, around November 1st due to some things happening in our life.

All I have to do is get the stuff from storage and she does the rest, gotta love that.

What a piece of gold I've got.

Done already MJ, Thanksgiving weekend... Women. I got one of nice fake Christmas trees from Lowes with the lights already assembled on it. The tree is 7' and comes in 3 parts. Pretty simple and is the only was to go. Makes life easy. Lucky me.

Lights are up. I only banged my shin twice on the f'n ladder. The swelling will go down in a few more days but my socks will have to be thrown out due to the blood.

I flat refused to do any more decorating, but I awoke this morning to a fake snowman by the fireplace with a couple of equally fake elves on each side of him. The fake snow that was in front of the fireplace is now scattered all over the living room by the cat.....pine cones are everywhere--she even wrapped my golf pictures with X-mas paper and put them back on the wall :scared

Why do women love this kind of $hit?
