I could dunk with two hands off a step until about 1996. Always struggled to control the ball for a one hand slam off a break (small hands).

I can still touch the rim, so there's that. :brows:

Nope. I could hang on rim, and jam a soft ball at my peak around 1991.

The other day I touched the rim off one step. I felt good about that.

I used to be able too, but about the only thing I can jam now are sandwiches into my mouth!

5'11 white guy here and no, never dunked. I played a lot of pickup ball up until age 30 or so and I always wanted to be able to dunk.

I even had a pair of the strength shoes, they helped me with speed but not too much with jumping. I could do more than just touch the rim but couldn't completely grab it.

I think the highest goal I ever actually dunked was 9 1/2 foot.

Today, age 38, and almost 2 years removed from breaking my left ankle (which I jump off of) in 2 places....pretty sure I'll never dunk in my lifetime. I was always a lot better at football anyway :)

I've dunked off of oops a couple of times.

5'9"

Early 20s could stand under goal and flat foot jump and grab rim with both hands.

That was 50ish pounds ago....
