I have no interest in hunting, but find it difficult to condemn it since I occasionally fish. Somehow killing fish doesn't affect me like killing deer even though it would seem the fish suffer more in the process.

That's it in a nutshell when it comes to the gun/deer hunt.
I can't think of another hunt that has so many 'casual' hunters, who don't know/give a shit what they are doing out there.
That's reason number one why I stopped.

Nothing wrong with hunting as long as the hunter or somebody eats the meat. Joker et al, if it's so easy to kill a big deer with a rifle and not 'sporting', I'll bet u that u can't do it next year. I'll provide u the land and everything to hunt with and bet what u want u can't kill a big buck.

Was just tryin to say goodluck....
For those who say noone does it for the meat....I eat every bite of what I kill...and usually donate a portion...lots of foundations that are set up for donations....
For those who say its easy....not so much....that is if u do it legally...I can't stand those who use illegal baiting and poaching...
And for those of u who use the word coward directed at people for enjoying a hobby....well I apologize u see it that way. I really think u have a big misconception of hunters...
Deer herds kill more people then nearly any other thing in the us....I'm not saying I do it for population control, because I don't....I am just stating a fact....
And for those who say its terrible to kill an innocent animal for food....god I hope ur a vegetarian.....if not....go to a slaughter housewhatch how ur burgers are made....or any type of meat for that matter...or a chicken coop....watch how u get ur chicken....or think about when ur crackin an egg gettin ready to fry it up...its the way nature is and always have been. We are all animals. Just because we are more educated then all others still doesn't make us not an animal...we kill to survive....regardless if u r eating a cow, chicken, or deer venicine, we are all guilty of eating "innocent animals"....just because u r not the one killing it doesn't change the fact that you are eating it...

I only made it til 10 o'clock out there cause of the rain...
It was pouring....saw about 10 doe but somehow I got my sister sitting with me....it was her first year h unting. Haha she missed twice...good memories...my dad, papa, and brother all went....dad shot a 8 point...good times...
Now we are back at camp playin euchre..
For those who don't hunt, I reccomend still gettin a camp with your family.....best memories and most laughs of my life....
