ask fletcher or senor capper as I know they live in Vegas.

I would like to move there too and gamble for a living but my wife won't go for it. So, til then I'll keep my job at Clorox and live the daily grind.

You might look into Henderson. Senor would know better, but I think that is a pretty safe place.

Vegas Baby !!
I live in Vegas, actually Summerlin, which is still a Vegas mailing address, but about 9 miles west of the strip, almost against the mountains.

Absolutely GORGEOUS !!! Summerlin is the new Henderson. I think that Fletcher lives in Henderson.

The further west you are from the strip, the better the neighborhoods. I live about 1 mile from Red Rock Resort.

Nice sports book, good poker room, and fine restaurants.

Housing isn't bad here. You can get a NICE 3 BR rance, 2 bath, 2K sq ft, for mid 200K's.

I would suggest to rent an apt or condo, as you mentioned, to make sure that you like your neighborhood.

I live in the Willows allotment. Jennifer Harmon lives at the other end of the Willows. I'm sure her house is worth closer to $600K.

Book a stay for a weekend at the RedRock, and get ahold of a realtor that will cart you around to some properties for the weekend.

if you are free from financial committments, give it a try. Be careful, rent short term, until you find out if you can find work. Working in a sportsbook will barely cover your rent. Tending bar is slighly better, but neither will give you a good bankroll for football season. You better have one before you arrive.

Summer is hot. Wait until football season :00hour

Here
To marketing majors everywhere: There's a six-figure job waiting for you at the casino.

Jeff Walker, 47, who graduated from college in 1983 with a marketing degree, is a gaming manager at Mohegan Sun, the Connecticut-based casino and resort. Walker has been with the company 12 years.

His career in gaming started in 1983 when he applied for a marketing job at The Sands in Atlantic City, N.J., when he graduated from the State University of New York's Geneseo campus.

Hitting the Jackpot

Gaming manager is one of America's surprising six-figure jobs, as compiled by Forbes.com based on the latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics salary data.

The top 10% of gaming managers, whose primary responsibilities are overseeing staff and catering to gamblers, earn $106,220 a year, while the average annual salary is $69,600. Nevada, home of Las Vegas, arguably the world's most attractive spot to gamblers, is the top-paying state for this occupation.

Walker said job seekers considering a position in gaming should expect to work at two to three casinos before nestling into a six-figure spot.

"You have to move and sacrifice," he said

Whew!

I chose Henderson because of the best schools mainly Green Valley High for my boys. I love the area. I'm about 10 mintues from the Strip but normally use 4 close Books around me. Traffic is non-existant compared to other parts of the valley.

Really the only negative thing for me is the so-called Police Dept. :gf: But I try to stay clear of them.

US Air is laying off 600 peeps in Vegas Aug 1. Better get a jump on a job before then.

Down the street from Fltech & I are the Palm Villas at Whitney Ranch....

Thanx alot fellas for giving me an ida of the neighbourhoods.I'm not that crazy to get there and go straight to a casino or sportsbook to gamble,i can wait till i get my self situated with jobs and stuff, so im not worried about the gambling part.At first reading some stuff online and the threads vinnie dug out i was starting to think not to go but i don't live in beverly hills here in los angeles, crime is everywhere,i figure u don't fuk around with them and they won't fuk around with u.I don't mind seeing graffiti or cholos or gang members driving past me as long as i mind my own buisness, live and let live  I'ts proabbly not as bad either, people just making some of the shit up to keep the outsiders from moving in IMO :drinky:

Thanks again for the info fellas. u guys are great! :SIB
