what are coupons?

We do because Angela loves the coupons as well. From her childhood days with her Mom. And, just feels old school reading it. Seriously.

Your answer is a bullshit," throw it in the face of people that you are so much fucking better than all of thou". You are a TRUE LOSER. When are you leaving, oh holy one? :stfu: :00x25 :00x11 :00x7

I've worked for newspapers for over 20 years. They are dying quickly. They have been ravaged by cuts. Local papers will probably be a thing of the past in a few short years. When they are gone, I think people will look back and wonder how and why it happened. The checks and balances of society will be left to bloggers and rogue internet scribes. Sadly....:sadwave:

havent had a landline in 14 years and havent had a newspaper delivered in about 17 years.

everything you need is online, oh yeah, and the news is realtime not from 10 hours ago.....love when i go back east and look at a newspaper and they dont have any scores from games played west of the rockies, or if they do it's from 2 days ago.

It is a sad unintended consequence.

And "gjn" is still an idiotic cock ring.

Local papers need to quickly transform to tablet publications. Quickly.

The LA Times has had one in the works but I still haven't seen it yet. They keep thinking they can make money with the online display, but they probably won't. Yet they continue to give content for free online. Dumb....

The media has endured a black eye the last few years and hasn't recovered. Once it's gone, people will realize that they were basically the only ones keeping local gov't honest. There's a reason why our fore fathers included freedom of the press in the Constitution. They knew then that it's essential to have that kind of checks and balance system. Yet we're content as a society to watch it completely wither away....

"the bunker"
newspapers?...isn`t there an app for that?..:D

.it`s evolution..the printing press put town criers out iof business..now the internet and cable news are doing the same thing to the papers....they`re going the way of the telegraph and the horse and buggy.....it`s progress...

costs and timeliness have made the print media obsolete...we have a 24 hour news cycle with blogs, and other news portals on the net and 24 hour cable news stations......why would someone buy a newspaper unless you`re heavily into local news (our local paper`s ravens` covergae is abysmal)....with the exception of getting coupons, reading dear abby or using the plastic sleeve to pick up pup-pup`s poop, wth `s the point?.....used to be that you were forced to get a paper to get the news....not anymore....

at least we`re saving more trees...

If you can do the NY Times crossword in under ten minutes, especially from Wednesday on, then you are definitely a redneck savant.

Because way back in the day one of my sport idols (Elway) used to say, "Read a newspaper everyday to be an MVP in the greatest game of all, the game of life!!" :0074

I like to employ as many people as possible in this economy...no online editions for me...

GREAT QUOTE but you have to remember Elway probably made the quote before online newspaper became so popular. :0003

Local 5 days a week newspaper in my small town puts obits and arrest on front page. Obviously not online and you can read it 2 minutes after it hits your porch. Sometimes it takes longer to get the rubber band off. Having said that iI agree with others. It gives a lot of people jobs and is only $1.00 a week. I just hope it last a long time and I don't make the front page obit for a long time either. :nono:
