Was Michael Jackson officially the last Musical Superstar?

http://milkand2sugars.wordpress.com...ackson-officially-the-last-musical-superstar/

I was and still am a big fan. Met him through a friend in the music business in 1987. My X wife, son and I went backstage and did the meet and greet and had our pictures taken. It was truly an amazing setting and experience. Sherl Crow was one of his back up singers.

Bad World Tour: 1987 - 1989

The Bad Tour was Michael's first solo tour, which started on September 12th 1987 and ended on January 27th 1989. It consisted of 123 concerts and was seen by approximately 4.4 million people.

It was during this tour that Michael set his own record by performing to 120,000 people in one concert in Liverpool, England. It was also on the Bad Tour that Michael set the world record for playing the most concerts at the legendary Wembley Stadium, England. He performed 7 sell out concerts, beating the previous record of 'just three'.

Dangerous World Tour: 1992 - 1993

The Dangerous Tour started on June 27th 1992 and ended on November 11th 1993. It consisted of 69 concerts and was seen by approximately 3.5 million people. All proceeds from the tour were donated to various charities, including Michael's Heal The World Foundation. The tour was unfortunately cut short due to health reasons.

The tour had a spectacular ending, with what looked like Michael putting on a jet pack and flying over the audiences's head and out of the stadium'.

HIStory World Tour: 1996 - 1997

The HIStory Tour was Michael's last solo tour, which started on September 7th 1996 and ended on October 15th 1997. It consisted of 82 concerts and was seen by approximately 4.5 million people. It was his most popular tour, based on attendance and how much money it made.

During the HIStory Tour, not only was Michael the first pop artist in history to sell out Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii; but he actually performed there twice...both shows a sell out.
